I just watched the final fight again. In every Myiagi vs Cobra Kai fight. It ended with The Myiagi student with the upper hand. Hell, Demetri even knocked out Hawk. Miguel did beat Robby, till he stopped fighting. So the Cobra Kai student was better in that fight. And in the fight between the 2 big guys, the Miyagi student only won because he used a weapon, so the Cobra Kai student was the better fighter. As for Hawk vs Demetri, Hawk really isn't a good fighter. He's got the flashy offense, but he doesn't fight smart, he goes for the quick knockout, and he lets his anger get the better of him. Demetri just had to block and wait for his moment. I was hoping someone would point that out. That's why I said ended with the upper hand instead of winning the fights. This show just completely blew my mind. Having the Miyagi's cheating in fights (Tory's braclet aside), Making me like Johnny Lawrence, making me angry at Daniel. I mean, it's like they took everything I thought of the characters for the last 30+ years and flipped it. I knew I was going to enjoy the show. But I REALLY like it. I hate that I'm gonna have to wait a year to see more. I don't think Robby meant to hurt Miguel that bad. But he did kick him after Miguel ended the fight. Really interested to see where that goes.

It was without a doubt deliberate. Daniel's so focused on this rivalry with Johnny, that he's lost all semblance of balance. The only time he's shown glimpses of the Daniel that Miyagi trained, was when encouraging Demetri, and in the couple of scenes where we see him and Johnny get along. Johnny's so focused on the same rivalry that he couldn't see that Kreese was full of shit till it was too late. Johnny allowed Kreese to corrupt some of his students, when he was starting to get a handle on the bullshit that Hawk and Miguel pulled. He was getting it through to his students that you don't fight dirty, you stand face to face with somebody and prove you're the better fighter. Daniel wasn't great at teaching his students to have restraint. Funny thing is, out of all the characters, Demetri exemplifies Miyagi-Do the best. Notice during the dojo war, he went to go get a teacher, he tried to avoid fighting at all costs, and only fought because he had no other choice. Aisha also exemplifies Miyagi-Do, she tried to break up the fight, and only joined when the Miyagi-Do kid checked her into the lockers.

Daniel can't teach inner balance and restraint like Myagi did. Because he never learned the lesson himself. I was dying to see a Daniel - Johnny rematch. And when we finally got it. I was rooting for Johnny. He tried to be calm and straight up told Daniel he wasn't going to let him in until he calmed down. Daniel responds by kicking his door in, essentially breaking into Johnny's home and starting a fight. I can't believe I'm saying it. But screw Daniel. lol

Daniel's always been quick to rush to conclusions, which is why he never gave Johnny and the new Cobra Kai a chance, and now his kids are inheriting this. I hope they don't go down the path of Johnny and Carmen becoming a couple. The whole idea of Johnny becoming a father figure to Miguel is one of the pillars of the show, but if he becomes Miguel's actual stepfather, that seems a little too contrived.

I know right? his son was basically absent from this season so I can't say much about him. But as far as Sam goes, all the sympathy she gained from me in season 1 was lost this season.

Honestly Daniel has been a complete douche since the first episode. You can see Johnny bein still hung up on a tourney from 30 years ago given his mindset and how his life has gone..it is still weird for a dude in his 50s, but you at least can see how his mind got there
Daniel meanwhile has a happy family and successful business and STILL is worried about some high school karate and sticking it to a dude he already beat haha.

Yeah, the show has let it be known that Daniel has no balance. He's not the same person that Miyagi trained, if Miyagi saw him now, he'd wonder what in the world happened. Balance will come back to him when he and Johnny end their rivalry, and create Miyagi-Kai. The defense of Miyagi-Do, with the offense of Cobra Kai. Defense first, strike hard, always honor.

Eventually Alli will talk some sense into both of them. but not before her presence causes conflict between the two. Daniel needs to find that fisherman again. lol

Maybe a one-time appearance, or seeing Julie Pierce on Daniel’s Facebook friend list. Though I have heard that if Tory was not Ali’s daughter (pretty much dispriced this last season) the second most popular theory was that she was Julie’s, which kind of fits, given they had similar personalities at that age.
Another theory I have: Colonel Dugan (Next Karate Kid villain) is another war buddy of Kreese and Silver. I was wondering if there was any way to fit him in if they do bring Julie back, and this would definitely make sense.

Nothing from the fourth film should ever be in Cobra Kai.

Nothing from the fourth film should ever be in Cobra Kai. Or the Jaden Smith/Jackie Chan 2010 movie, for that matter.

Maybe it's me but I always find the scenes with Daniel boring and I find Johnny's scenes more interesting.

Johnny is basically the main character. It's his show. William Zabka's performances over the first two seasons have been nothing short of outstanding.

Zabka is a better actor than Ralph by quite a bit

As a Cobra Kai fan, I feel I am being negligent by not pointing out how utterly awesome the Dodge Cobramobile is.
