As much as I'm onboard with people turning down the WWE money right now, with Lio...it's tough, because this guy's been a problem from the jump, and I haven't seen the worth he's brought to the table like others have. But I also get his frustration, too. He feels like he has so much to bring to the table, he feels like he could be a cornerstone for the company, but his confidence borders on overconfidence and is squarely in the realm of egomania at this point. And it's weird, because this is the very model of the WWE going "You need to grab that brass ring to make yourself a star, no wait, not like that". But because Lio is so abrasive to people, so full of himself, and pulls shit like the ladder spot no sell, people are less likely to give him support like they would with The Revival and with Luke.
I feel like he needs a mentor who can take him under their wing and give him some advice, but he might see that as them trying to take away his shine. I honestly don't know what this kid needs at this point.

Mark Henry's an agent to be a locker room hardass, but at the same time I don't think I've heard any stories of him being a hazing prick to anyone, and I bring this up because Henry went through absolute heaps of bullshit. Mounds of grief from the wrestlers and from the company in his career. He's in a similar boat to Miz now as far as not perpetuating that bullshit and letting it stop with his generation, but Henry is also a hardass for respect. Make of that what you will as far as your views on water and carrying bags and shit, but Lio's problems clearly go deeper than that, and you're also not going to get any sympathy from someone who lived through the hell years backstage because someone was trying to take you aside and tell you to tone it down. Lio's got that new Enzo shit all over him right now and the contract thing is just madness, too. Yea, that's a big thing with Henry in regards to respect. He's not going tolerate bullying and the fact he's not even defending this shit with Lio says a lot. Guys like him and Miz as you mentioned have stopped that culture they went through. If someone like Henry or Kane tells you to cool the f*** down then you cool the f*** down. It looks bad when other guys are doing shit with no problem including Drake Maverick who has been in the business a lot longer than you. As mentioned before Alister Black did it as well on his first trip because that's the way he was brought up to show respect
I can get Lio in some respects but he's gone overboard and he's too young and naive to see it for himself.

Also as far as wrestling respect and if it's good or not; here's the big thing about a system like that: it's a deeply ingrained social system. If you want to fight it, you're not gognig to be able to accomplish shit from the bottom. Just refusing to play ball makes people dislike you, sets you up for failure, and nothing changes. The Miz endured years of torment from people who thought he was there for the wrong reasons, who thought he hadn't paid his dues. He took all of the blows, sucked them up, and kept moving. He even turned down a chance to be free from JBL's terror forever if he f***ed over Justin Roberts in Europe, and he chose not to. Miz was the bigger man and he suffered all of that, earning the respect of the locker room.
He's since done nothing with that respect, as far as becoming a terror. He's a veteran now, and he's not bullying people, he's not molesting anyone in the showers or kicking people out of the locker room. I've never heard a bad story about The Miz, but I've heard from a ton of his peers how hard he works and how much he puts into the company, with Danial Bryan talking up his work ethic when Bryan is all work ethic. Miz broke the cycle of violence and in that regard he's done a lot to help strip a lot of that garbage away. Lio could do the damn same; play the game, do the water, carry the bags. Then one day when you're ingrained and you're a veteran locker room presence, you put a stop to that shit. That's how changing social structures like that work, and it sucks, but Lio's not changing the system, he's just digging his feet in and deciding he specifically shouldn't do it. You've got to play the game now to change things later.

I've never heard a bad story about The Miz I know Punk and Del Rio both dislike him, but that's practically an endorsement coming from those two.

He has got an attitude, but you should bring in your own bags and luggage.
And get your own water.
I have never understood the "We are veterans, and you need to accommodate us." mentality of wrestling.

Boy the newz the last couple of weeks really does not portray the WWE locker room as the happiest place to be right now: Sasha and Bailey throwing fits in hotel lobbies, wrestlers and agents quitting, Lio Rush pissing off veterans, Baron Corbin. It's just one big unhappy weird stomach place.

I never thought we’d ever see a dipshit bigger than Enzo in the WWE. Congrats Lio. It’s hard to surpass Enzo levels but somehow you’ve done it.

And the thing is, before WWE....who the f*** was this kid? He was a big-ish deal in CZW, and an utter mid-carder in ROH. Where the hell is this ego coming from, man? Hey, hey! I'll have you know he's the greatest master of psychology of our generation. Wow even the late great Road Warrior Hawk would take one look at that and be all like"Jesus kid, that's too much!"

As a rookie or young person in the business of wrestling or even sports, it is a way of humbling and not getting ahead of yourself. You may be on the best but you're never too good to do things we did when we started and previous generations started. That's how you got yourself noticed back in the day at least in regards to wrestling. Accommodate the vet and they will put you in the car and impart some wisdom on you
In today's age, more so just a show of friendliness and as I said before just more so a little tradition. It's your first overseas trip and many have done it before you. It's not a sign of weakness imo at all. Once the trip is over and you still trying pull that shit i'm going be like nah i'm good if it is going overboard but I think he handled this all the way wrong

This "locker room respect thing is bad and outdated" crap needs to stop. Lio is having people put their lives in his hands and vise versa. If you can't be an adult and learn to respect someone like that then you dont need to be in the company.
There's a difference between hazing and showing basic respect. That's standard work ethics. Why should anyone wanna work with someone who doesn't show basic respect? Lio is literally not doing basic things such as getting people cleared backstage. His goons yelled at a security guard.
That is not gonna cut it. At all.

Hey, hey! I'll have you know he's the greatest master of psychology of our generation. I mean, how do you even hire a guy after he does that? In the context of the feud it makes sense. Plus that spot was Janelas idea anyway

I will work as a mouthpiece for Lashfley for 300k man, sign me up.
Its funny how we have all these guys leaving while being offered gigantic amounts of money.
And Lio leaves because he wants more money from WWE.
