AEW don't need Authority figures. Reveal the card before every show. The end. I think having a nameless, faceless championship committee appointed on TV as a way to explain things aside from "oh well Cody and The Bucks are running everything." instead having "AEW Officials appointed a championship committee in order to fairly make decisions regarding AEW on television."

AEW don't need Authority figures. Reveal the card before every show. The end. They don't need one not simply because it is a played out trope but because there is nothing left to do with the trope....LU found the last drops of it in Dario and that was because of the direction they took their show which abled him to play in a much bigger sandbox than a normal wrestling authority figure is able to. AEW should have a "board" that communicates through the announcers there is no need to ever put a face to the decisioons unless they are going in LU direction where it is a very TV driven show and that does not look to be the case.

On the first episode on TNT, they should have a character parodying Jamie kellner. * I thought I killed wrestling on this station for good!"

Commentary from Charles Barkley or I riot I was going to say get the TNT crew on as a pre-show but this is even better.

Dave Meltzer said on Observer Radio today that the plan is for the AEW TV show to start within Q4 (October-December) - most people believe it will start in October, maybe the week SmackDown moves to FOX.

Could we have a new Monday Night Wars? That wouldn't be a smart idea, splitting the Monday audience, plus AEW have stated they are more interested in becoming an alternate than directly competing. If they wanted to directly compete, they would have had a bigger impact WrestleMania weekend.

Could we have a new Monday Night Wars? Ask TNA how that went. Even through WWE rating are shit, it probably not a good idea. If anything, maybe due a small clash of the champions style like Supercard on a monday night to test the water but that it.

AEW don't need Authority figures. Reveal the card before every show. The end. I disagree with the lack of need for any. It's helpful to have someone on hand for story issues and for some level of spontaneity at times. That said, keep it to a minimum and mostly have them uninvolved with storylines. About like William Regal is in NXT is the perfect way to do it. Yeah I’ve always disagreed that authority figures is a dead end. Wwe tropes are dying, but that’s on them.

Could we have a new Monday Night Wars? I think the plan has always been to shoot for Tuesdays, after Smackdown is moved to Friday again, or at least, in that time frame. Wasn't one of the very first trademarks AEW took out "Tuesday Night Dynamite"?

Debuting on Mondays would be a great way to guarantee AEW dies almost immediately.

AEW staff have always said that WWE was not the enemy and they just wanted to be an alternative. The entire reason they are moving to Tuesdays is to not compete directly with them.

Yeah I’ve always disagreed that authority figures is a dead end. Wwe tropes are dying, but that’s on them. AEW kinda needs one. A bunch of their top stars are executive vp, logic dictates you need one otherwise why the hell wouldn’t Cody or the Bucks constantly book themselves in title matches? They don’t have to appear all the time, or often at all, but there needs to be a known, established authority figure to explain why things are run fair. Regal in NXT and Johnny Saint and his muppet in UK are good examples on how to use the role.

We do not need Dreamer to go to another company just so he can do his sob story about how great ECW was. He's been doing that shtick for near 20 years
