Honestly, as weird as it might sound, one of the things I'm most excited about AEW getting a TV show is just seeing how they approach the overall aesthetics of the show. Ring designs, entrance looks, it's all stuff I really mark out over. I love looking at people's custom AEW arenas on the internet. Oh, and title belts too. I hope they have some classy looking gold. I hope it's not just a giant logo lol. I like intricacies, like how WWE's old title belts had. It seem like their getting belt made by Dave Millican. He created belts for WWE, TNA, ROH and NJPW. Nice. If it's anything like the IWGP Heavyweight belt, then I'm cool with it.

Reading the Wrestling Observer Rewinds on Reddit and they've just gotten to March 2001 - the end of WCW, talking about (now former) Turner CEO Jamie Kellner's relative hatred of wrestling. How times have changed, huh.... Kellner was out of there by 2003. If anything, networks did want wrestling, but you can see how TNA killed off that goodwill within the last decade. Yeah, a lot of stuff has gotten a chance on tv. Wrestling Society X, that Lucha Libre promotion, ROH was on HDNet then Destination America, etc. The problem is, TNA was the most high profile of them and their show sucked so no one watched it. It made it look like people didn't want non-WWE wrestling to tv executives. This is why so many people wanted TNA to die for so long. It was ruining wrestling on tv for everyone else.

I think it was less about it sucking and more that the trust in the two sides was gone with the Russo side. Before then, Spike were happy to have them since they were one of the biggest rated shows. The downward spiral just came around the time the ratings fell.

Its great that Russo will never ever join AEW, because they dont want him to kill another promotion.

Nope made in the vein of the old Mid South North American Championship www.sescoops.com/aew-champinship-first-look-allie-aew/

Not a fan at first glance but it depends on what the plates look like. Though doubt I'll like it, I really think the center plate should be huge and hate narrow ones.

I'm a mark for the big centerpiece belts like the IWGP and the Undisputed WWE title, but I think this style could look very good.

So for those that are american. Is TNTDrama a good deal? I think that’s just the Twitter handle, not a separate channel.

Honestly there is almost no downside to this move for AEW. If things go well they can potentially get access to other Turner channels. And TNT, while not having much original programming now, does have great production

From the sounds of that release, they're pretty much going to be doing NJPW America in terms of booking and presentation.

I used to make jokes about them being a t-shirt company. But you have to applaud a move like this. I don't think anyone can deny that this company is legit now. However, I wonder how they were able to make this deal when TNA had trouble getting on even tiny channels.
