Every main character in this is pretty great, like they’re not the deepest characters but they play the few traits they’re given well. Cloud being a giant money grubbing asshole is something that just keeps giving.

Climb 59 floors of stairs and don't get an elixir or even a trophy.

I'm about halfway through chapter 9 but haven't been able to play for the past couple days because I'm swamped with schoolwork and some work projects. I keep thinking about this game though, can't wait to get back to it! After getting through it I think I'm going to play the original next on my Switch.

Rude may just be the coolest character in the game. Dude just screams total badass.

As much as I enjoy the gsme. I am struggling with the combat. I just dont find it fun.
Auto, my team do f*** all unless I command them which sucks when I switch to Barrett and he's spemt the last 30 seconds doing nothing and has zero AP. Getting interupted constantly.

Ehh I don't find that to be true as they def hold their own in battle and equipping the right tools help Besides that, you have to strike a balance between using everyone for most effectiveness. Your ATB will go up slow as hell if you don't take control and with how critical ATB is, you need everyone on deck I personally find it fun and challenging because switching to another character at the right moment and using their abilities can help change the tide of battle

You need to check everyone's status, switch to the right party member at the right time, so there are tactics and strategies involved. Aerith and the Prayer Materia has been a life saver in more than one situation.

Yea, you can't just "Mash X" your way through this because you will get f***ed up very fast This is the first FF in a long time where Ethers are f***ing precious. Your items in general will get used and you have to pay attention to everything You legit have to think ahead of time. Aerith prayer takes 2 ATB gauges and sometimes you have to sit on that because you want to do damage with another character or an attack is coming and you need that critical health

I finished most of my work, so I had some more time to play earlier. I'm on Chapter 9, I just got through the tunnels and arrived at Wall Market, but I'm putting the game back down for a minute because there's some other stuff I want to clear off my plate before getting back into the game proper All I can say is Tifa in that outfit = eye emoji eye emoji eye emoji.

Finished it a few days ago and I can happily say I loved this game. Probably the best FF game since 12. Loved how they expanded the lesser characters and how all the main characters felt faithful to the original. Like this is OG FF7 Cloud and not Advent Children/Kingdom Hearts Cloud. Same goes for Aerith, the VA absolutely killed it. A big highlight for me were the boss fights. They were tough, intense and so much fun. A few of my favourites being {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Airbuster Hell House Jenova Dreamweaver Rufus The music was another big highlight. They really killed it with the remixes There were a handful of areas that either dragged or I didn't enjoy tho. {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}Train Graveyard comes to mind as needless padding. And f*** Hojo's lab. As for what people are talking about {Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}I didn't mind the ending at all, even tho it was kind of freaking spoiled for me. I'm absolutely fine with them going in a different direction and I'm actually cautiously excited. I have the original on many platforms and I can always play that again (which I do quite a bit) if I want the original story.

They felt very drawn out and artificially expanded upon to pad the game and honestly not very fun,
