10 years, probably unless they fire Nomura and replace him with someone who understands they have a job to do. I dunno if it'll be that long, Part 2 is supposed to be already in development Yea, considering how massive this project is I assume they already had people starting part 2 as Part 1 was getting final touches Ideally, each game is released within 2 years of each other

But in all seriousness I don't think people would be as patient with Squenix taking too long to put this out if they let Nomura take as long as he did with KH or what was supposed to be Versus 13.

If they decide on the former, they better not be charging a full 60 bucks for the smaller games, bleh.

If they say 2 years, then i'm willing to wait but considering it is not like they are building on new technology, it is a matter of just getting everything out and right

I just finished the game. I put so many hours into the original when I was a teenager, and I really enjoyed getting back to the world and characters. It really was stretched thin at times, but I still enjoyed it. Once the decision was taken to cut the game at Midgar, then they had to pad it out a bit (unless they were willing to price it cheaper)
I need to let that last chapter sink in a bit before I form an opinion on it, lol

Alright...so I beat it.
The game was more than I hoped, expected and it beat the breaks off of any expectation I had from it. Combat's the best combat I've played in a FF game, of course graphics were top notch sans small stuff, music was INCREDIBLE, the character development, the writing, everything was A plus. They really did the damn thing to a level that I honestly can't fathom. Just, amazing.
AMAZING. Loved it.

I put it down almost two weeks ago to stretch it out a little longer since I was on Chapter 13 I believe
Probably pick it up Monday, and knock the rest out this week

Just beat it tonight. I need a cigarette after the last 3 hours. Jesus that was intense.
Now I’m sad I have to wait years for the next.
Final playtime; 43 Hours. A full 43 hours. So yeah, I think I was in the wrong when I pouted about it being broken into pieces.
—
I’m actually going to go and play the OG now. I beat it as a kid but remember very very little of the game.

Yea, if this game was 20 hours i'd been salty while good length, that's a bit short for a game I won't get a sequel to for 2 years but when they said at least 36 hours I was happy Makes you excited for next parts

We are getting the rest of the story, just a matter of how long which is the scary thing I'm willing to give credit where it is due, they made a compelling first game and after the way he handled 15 and KH3 they are not going to let him just sit on this

Going through the game on Hard Mode is a completely different experience than Normal. Man, the buffs to these enemies, you really have to use way more strategy this time around. If you thought that Hell House fight was annoying before you better think again. Some of these bosses are ridiculous like that Ghoul in the station. You really gotta make sure your materia is equipped well.
And that's another thing I want for a sequel: materia load outs. Switching repeatedly is time consuming. It's not enough for me to dislike the game but it's enough for me to see that hey, they can improve on it.
Overall still loving this game. So far 81 hours in total and I'm on chapter 11 in Hard Mode. Gonna try and get a Platinum for this.

Out of all the things to be completely faithful to the original in terms of game mechanics, materia management is the one I wanted the least. It was a pain in the original and it's a pain in FF7R, too.

The Sector 6 Slums music in Remake sounds like it would fit a Streets of Rage game better.

After a week or 2 not playing. I made it past the Whisper Harbinger and made it to Sephiroth. Tough battle that I came close to winning. Tried casting Curaga after Cloud was the only conscious character after being hit with Heart Angel, he did some damage to me right as was being cast. HA. that wasn't so bad in itself. What was bad was the retry option confused me and I chose the wrong one and it started me back before entering the light.
Lovely.
Gonna give it another shot next week on my next day off.

I had a moment like that on my initial play through of Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance. After overcoming the complete and utter bull crap that is the battle with Young Xehanort, and losing to the actual last boss, I clicked the wrong button and was sent back to before the Young Xehanort battle, and a video game has never made me want to loudly swear as badly as I wanted to right there and the.

Playing Hard Mode and finishing off those final Shinra Challenges. Man that was tough but thankfully I did it. This game's wild with some of the challenges they throw at you.
