This has nothing to do with the booking or the in-ring style or anything, which aesthetic things should be done to make it have a different "look" than WWE/TNA/ROH ? Personally, I would get some of the set designers and production crew from WCW, they were able to make Nitro look different than RAW, I'm sure they could craft a distinct "look" for AEW.

A realistic down-to-earth show that's completely off the wall and swarming with magic robots. Also, you should win things by watching.

I really dig how epic NJPW looks at times, without being all gaudy like WWE. As shitty as this sounds, if there are LED ring posts and aprons, I probably wouldn't watch. It makes it look like the guys are wrestling on a big toy. I dont see that happening though since they are really wanting to push it as a sports oriented product. Honestly I would also like to see just the single turnbuckle pads instead of the three separate ones, with one corner being red and the other blue. Just gives it more of that "fight" feel.
It's hard tellin what it'll actually look like though with TNT covering the production costs. That's absolutely insane.

I’d get the people who do PPV Boxing and have them do it. Minimalist and intimate with the entrance and aisleway, crowd lit up enough for you to see that the building is full, and the ring brightly lit. For whatever reason, the ring always looks so bright on a major boxing show and it gives the ring such a unique look. It’s the centerpiece of the whole production. As it should be.

I think Impact is doing a good job so I'd look that way or at the WWE's house show set up. I think it gives it a good feell without looking so bland like WWE has managed to do.

I don’t have specific sets in mind, but I loved when WWE went all out in their arena configuration, especially tying in a theme for individual shows. I hope AEW does this.

I like when you can see the crowds during promos and such, like full lights on during that. Then dimmed lights during matches, but the in ring action being brightly lit.

I always liked the entrance ramp setups for the big NJPW shows. They're simple, yet still flashy in their own way.
More than anything, I want actual entrance videos. For some reason, WWE's gotten rid of them for the most part and I don't know why.

Something that doesn't bring attention to itself. It should give the vibe of "major wrestling" while not being distracting.

I always loved the connecting ramp from WCW and NJPW (and rarely ECW). Coming out on that elevated above the crowd made them look even larger than life and also allows for some cool unique spots that you cannot do otherwise. But then I also love the old MSG entryway from within the crowd, or corner-entries like WWECW, so I'd be tempted to say give it a somewhat intimate/amongst the crowd, front row feel for TV, with the corner entry through the crowd and everything packed in close so it's like you're there, and then the big gangway ramp for PPVs so it's larger and grander. I'd be tempted to adjust the ring lighting accordingly too, and entry spotlights are something that could be used more in a mainstream company- Cody's entrance against Nick Aldis at All In felt very big fight and if they can capture that presentation consistently it'd be good. I've always prefered coloured ropes to black or white, just makes the ring look way less generic. Black,Yellow,Black could work given their logo, or Silver/Black,Gold,Silver.
I also miss the days of theme sets. WCW and until the HD era WWE used to be great for this with all the shows having their own distinct set designs. It again gave everything a distinct, memorable feel.
Camera wise, more of the steadycam and wide shots to get scale, or NJPW style in-tight sportscams, less of the WWE shakycam and seizure cuts.

I used to get chills at house shows when the house lights dimmed, meaning it was time for the matches to start. Also, I'd have as little as possible take place in the ring besides actual wrestling matches. Not that there can never be exceptions, but I'd establish that the ring is for wrestling, period. Interviews are to be either at ringside or in the designated, separate interview set. I'd try to eliminate any and all, "wrestler comes to the ring and grabs the mic and starts a soliloquy" segments--promos should be put across in interviews, preferably with a bit of back-and-forth with the interviewer instead of "what are your thoughts on...?" and then a standard promo.
