The way this is worded sounds like someone taking something out of context to try and shit on Impact when in fact nothing weird is going on at all.
This seems way too......baity....

Given how young she is, it's not the worst idea in the world; she'll likely keep a highly featured spot, get to keep building up her image and street cred, and later on get to cash in and likely negotiated a better deal for herself with one of the big companies down the road.

She’s seemingly been undergoing her big mainstream star makeover as of late, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see her sign a big deal somewhere soon.

PWInsider said she did sign the contract yesterday once she got terms she was happy with. Wouldn't be surprised if she used AEW as leverage for a better deal.

So I assume Jordynne is now one of the highest paid KOs along with Tessa and Rosemary.

If Impact could land maybe a couple more really notable or at least high-potential women, then their division will look really good with Blanchard, Grace, Rosemary, and some depth behind them, plus cycling in people like Taya. Hope they come through, it’d be nice to see their division fully rebuilt while AEW gets their women’s division going and WWE has theirs stronger than it’s been in the past, there’s certainly a lot of great women in the industry now who deserve that chance with a TV brand.

Good for Jordynne! I've really enjoyed what I've seen from her and think she will be even better and ready in two years for AEW or NXT/WWE.

So I'm having a teensy bit of trouble following this thread; if I understand it correctly; the topic came up, for whatever reason and with whatever initial intention, that Jordynne Grace was working without a contract with TNA. A story then comes out that officials are trying to get her to sign a contract. A day later, it seems that Jordynne Grace has now signed a contract for several years.
Where exactly in all of this is this just PWI digging themselves into a weird hole and making up a ton of nonsense?

Right, so the PWI story from October was bunk of some sort, but the rest of what they've reported has tracked well and in some ways honestly kind of backs up that they got the information bad as it was from somewhere that thought it was going on. PWI suddenly talking about Jordynne Grace's contract right before TNA moves to sign her puts some smoke to the idea something was going on. I see where the incorrect info was I just don't see where the part of people rolling their eyes to say "Oh, dirt sheets who just want to play the LOLTNA crowd and are making tons of shit up" enters into this.

All of that makes sense considering she’s still PROGRESS Women’s Champion and it’s not like WWE’s going to kick a fuss about the NXT UK signed women facing her because IMPACT’s a non factor compared to even ROH at the moment. If they got a new TV deal, that would change depending on the deal but still.

I always just assumed she was pay per appearance Before she signed that multi-year deal, yeah same as well, the issue was that PWI report made you assume Impact Management forgot to sign Jordynne to a contract and their actions were very Dixie Carter.

I'm actually a little surprised she was getting interest from WWE. Half of her moveset looks like it kills the person taking it, I'd imagine she'd be spending a lot of time in NXT. Glad she seems to have found a niche for herself, though.

I think like how a lot of people are more comfortable/happy on NXT rather than WWE Main, Jordynne enjoys being a big fish in a small pond with Impact knowing that if she goes to AEW she won't be 'happy' being so exposed and focused on as one of the make-or-break Superstars that have to carry the weight of making a new company succeed. All the AEW performers' literal careers are on the line to make that thing a success-- if Miss Grace is getting good cash and is having fun and enjoys the Impact fans well enough, keep doing what she's doing for as long as the pay checks keep coming in.

If she is 23 now, that means Jordynne was only 18 when we met her at a Mississippi Wrestling Corps show 5 years ago. I always forget how young she was when she started wrestling.
