Also, with Microsoft getting Double Fine, they also have access to Double Fine Presents titles as a publisher and a lot of those games can be Xbox Game Pass games from the gate which allows for way more diverse and original titles to be given that spotlight. It’s a really smart move on their end. They had a smart conference Nothing really blew you away, but it was all moves meant to go forward which is a positive

Yeah, the censoring of language thing was bizarre mostly because I think the presser was only available online. I remember last year (at least here in the US) where Disney XD aired the presser and had issues trying to cut out language and what have you.
Few years ago when G4 was airing these, it would make sense. Not now.

I give Microsoft a solid B+. Nothing blew me away, but it did everything it set out to do. showcased a lot, and didn't have any blunders or lame stuff like "gameplay demonstrations" with blatantly scripted and fake-sounding gamerbro dialogue.

I mean, next-gen stuff is always cool, but my current console still looks damn good. This trend of constant "what's next?" is more than a little unnecessary. By the time this new console comes out, the Xbox One will be around 7 years old. Considering we'll likely still see the Xbox One games being made after Scarlett comes out, it's going to have a long lifespan and in-line with previous generations (if not even longer). It just feels faster because time itself feels like it moves faster as we age. That and Nintendo sort of marches to its own drummer so they put out consoles midway through Sony and MS' lifespan. Considering how poorly gameplay demos have gone in past E3 presentations, it's probably for the best.
not to mention the first 2 or so years of XBox One / Ps4's life span was... HEY WANT SOME REMASTERS OF GAMES YOU ALREADY PLAYED LAST GENERATION?! and that's about it,

6 months later we finally get Infamous, and then another remaster in Last of Us (not complaining about that one since I purposely didn't play it at the end of the PS3 knowing it would get launched for PS4)

I didn't pick up a PS4 until 4 months AFTER Infamous came out. Lucky you That was the only new game to play for a while that people were looking forward too when talking about Infamous, Watch Dogs etc... That was mostly the reason I opted to hold out (partly was because of funds) but yeah, I knew there weren't that many games to get then (I mean, KNACK YEAH but even then...) Even then when I got a PS4, I only had Infamous and Trials Fusion for the longest time until TLOUR came out.

Yea, I had it Day 1 and was basically playing Tomb Raider, Madden, 2K, Black Flag until Infamous came out Those first 2 years was def a rough patch including a game in Watch Dogs that underperformed and pissed people off because that was one of the main reasons to getting it

I picked up Watch Dogs on the PS3 instead (I got my PS4 in July 2014) because I wanted to check it out and didn't want to wait and it ended up coming out the weekend that I got my first paycheck from my job at the time. I'm so grateful I didn't get it on the PS4 or else that would have haunted my ass.

I bet we won't hear a single damn thing about Elder Scrolls VI. :/ Bold prediction; I think we’ll at least get confirmation it’ll be on PS5 and Project Scarlett. Maybe not 2020, but 2021 at least.

Don't get me wrong, the game ended up being okay for what it was but it wasn't the innovative game it touted itself to be as it was supposed to be a flagship game for the Playstation. The 2nd one ended up being better and the atmosphere around it ended up being better However, as I said those that bought the PS4 for Watch Dogs were highly disappointed

It just wasn't really anything great. I did enjoy the app game that let you be a dispatch against other characters
