Eagles have signed G Brandon Brooks to a 4 year extension that will make him the highest paid guard in the league.

That's a damn shame. I remember seeing him at Michigan St and thinking he was going to be what Larry Fitzgerald eventually turned into. He seemed like a game breaker, but just never put it all together in the pros.
But also, why is TMZ doing way better reporting on this than the sports media? Good lord, what a sad state of journalism we are in.

Week 17. Niners at Seattle. In a game that will very likely mater. Y’all know who will win that.
#SpoilerAlert
It will be Seattle because the Niners will never beat them again.
Fxxx Seattle. Fxxx Russell Wilson.
Giant middle finger to Shanahan for blowing that OT with godawful gamecalling.

I saw a post on a Cowboy's fan-site and I think it describes their current situation well: Cowboys are an 8-8 team with 12 win talent.
There is something wrong with the team that has nothing to do with physical talent.

I still cannot believe how badly Kyle Shanahan botched the last series. Then again, he was the guy who called the entire second half of the Patriots/Falcons Super Bowl, so maybe I should believe it and just get used to it.

There is something wrong with the team that has nothing to do with physical talent. I think it's been clear for a while that their ceiling with Garrett is occasionally winning a playoff game. Reminds me of Marvin Lewis (even though he never actually won a playoff game) in that Marvin was really good for Cincy for a while and turned them them into a respectable team - even having a couple seasons where they were one of the top squads in the league - but it was abundantly obvious years before he was canned that he wasn't the guy to take them any further.

LETS GO.
Dude’s play got so unjustly killed for his personal choices. Dude was still a solid QB on one of the worst teams in recent history in his final year in the league.
I really hope something comes of this and he has a redemption arc.

I really hope something comes of this and he has a redemption arc. Don't get your hopes up. This reeks of "See? We gave him a chance and he couldn't cut it!". No team does workouts on Saturdays because that is a traveling day. Kaep's reps asked for the workout to be on a Tuesday, the day most workouts are because that is the day most coaches and GMs are available, but was told that not only did it have to be a Saturday, it had to be THIS Saturday. The NFL would not let him reschedule and by scheduling it so late and close to the date in question, it means that every teams' reps travel plans are already set. At best, teams *might* send a junior member of their scouting teams (remember, most of those reps will be at college games on Saturday). This is nothing but a smoke and mirrors show by the NFL. It's pathetic.

You've got to give the NFL this: at least they aren't hiding the fact that this is a farce.

NFL Network trying to give Garrett a pass Saying Mason started it and should had backed down when his OL came in I don't really disagree with that take after watching several views of it. I think Garrett took it to an insane level that deserves punishment but Rudolph completely let his frustration of how badly he played override decision making during that.
