Who wants to see this in a game... My gut feeling is that the outcome of that first play be the most boring outcome possible: AKA the ball will be dropped and the refs will spend 10 minutes trying to figure out if it was a lateral or a forward pass after the defense runs it back for a touchdown. Or he'll get hit as he tosses it and the resulting "is it a pass/fumble?" will end up like another Tuck Rule. It would still be pretty cool if he pulled it off...

After the release of Madden ratings, Patrick Mahomes has challenged Josh Allen to a throw off as they gave Allen a stronger arm. Mahomes has to watch it. I鈥檝e seen lots of players fall off after signing big contracts. I wanted to add this, even if he wasn't on my team, he's what I want to see and what the league needs. The best player in the game throwing no look passes and going behind the back is fun, the only thing he doesn't do is talk shit and I'd be fine with that too, I'm all about fun and entertainment and that's what I enjoy.

So, the Facebook event for the Dallas/ Minnesota game was cancelled. Which leads to two theories:
1. The NFL is gonna play with no fans in attendance this season.
2. The NFL will cancel their season in the near future.

Dan Snyder or James Dolan? Who ya got as worst owner in sports since they got rid of Donald Sterling? Easily Snyder. At least the Rangers under Dolan have had some success. Even made it to the Stanley Cup Finals a few years ago.

So, the Facebook event for the Dallas/ Minnesota game was cancelled. Which leads to two theories: 1. The NFL is gonna play with no fans in attendance this season. 2. The NFL will cancel their season in the near future. 1. The league is not going to wholesale announce that no fans will be allowed in the stands for the entire season until they absolutely have to, like in late August or early September. They know what an enormous portion of their revenue comes from the gate (Forbes estimates it at $5.5 billion, or 38 percent of total revenue if they altogether lost tickets, concessions, sponsors, and parking) and they're going to force local and state governments to make that call. In New England, for example, the Patriots have announced that the plan, as of now, is to play in front of a 20 percent full Gillette Stadium, which is roughly 13,000 of the 68,000-seat stadium. But that could very easily change in a few days, weeks, or months. 2. The NFL won't cancel the season in July. That would be pointless. They could delay the season, much like the other major American sports did, they have a much larger window of time to play with than the NBA and NHL did, and they already have a shorter season than the other three leagues (five months compared to the NBA and NHL's nine and MLB's seven), so if they had to reduce the season to say, 10 or 12 games starting in November or December and ending in March or April, they could pull it off.

I was just listing places the NFL won't put the Superbowl anymore because it's too cold for the "corporate fans that show up". It's not meant to be taken as if they are all the same.

Ah ok, I mean yes it's cold but it isn't like -10. I just hoping for a season so I don't lose a year of what's been built.

I like that 16 regular season games is fine and safe, but those four evil preseason games were a big part of what the players were fighting. Also, the league knew they were serious about this demand to cave this quick.

Fun story apparently after signing his deal, Mahomes immediately called Chris Jones and told him he left money on the table to get his deal done.

Not the NFL, but the Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL have decided to discontinue using the Eskimo name for their team.

Im not watching that. Whos #1? Tyreek Hill He missed a few games last season, but i'd say he could easily be considered top 5, so it's not THAT hot of a take.

Should we mention that Edmonton is dropping the Eskimos name?
