The Chiefs and Sammy Watkins agreed on a new contract, looks like the vast majority of the bowl team will return.

Has it been stated in the last few days how big of a moron Bill OBrien is? Because it鈥檚 still very very true.

Deshaun Watson will leave when his deal is up -- head to New England maybe
but he won't stay, he's got no help

I'm sure that other veteran players will look at that and say, "Yes, refusing to pay someone who is at worst the third best player in the league at an important position his market value is a sign that the Houston Texans is a team I should consider signing/re-signing with." The Texans aren't even up against the cap - they have the second MOST cap space in the league!

Take it with a grain of salt but Trump spoke to 12 sports commissioners and told them he expects fans back in the arenas Aug/Sept
Could be ideal for Football who never will suffer from quarantine and no fans possibly

Take it with a grain of salt but Trump spoke to 12 sports commissioners and told them he expects fans back in the arenas Aug/Sept Could be ideal for Football who never will suffer from quarantine and no fans possibly The NFL shouldn't have to make any sort of a decision about its season until July at the absolute earliest. Their season doesn't kick off for another five months. Canceling any games right now would be premature, as we have no idea what sort of condition the virus will be like in a month or two months, let alone five months. If they have to play with no fans, then that's a bridge they'll have to cross come September, but the idea that they have to cancel or postpone any games now is foolish. As I said in the overall coronavirus thread, canceling events that are several months away or instituting stay-at-home orders that are for multiple months can have significant impacts on people's mental health, giving people a sense of utter hopelessness. And while the National Football League is ultimately just a blip on the world's radar, canceling football games from September 2020 through February 2021 would send a terrible message of utter despair and hopelessness to all of America right now.

Best thing is to play it by ear. Don't cancel or postpone things half-a-year away now, but definitely have contingency plans in place in case you have to. Dr. Fauci is right in that the virus is what is currently determining our timeline. And despite the idiocy some are peddling out there, putting our collective fingers in our ears won't make the virus magically go away. Hopefully things are better by the summer, but a number of pandemics have come in waves until medical science catches up with them, and COVID-19 definitely has potential to follow in their footsteps. Though if there is a major second wave, you'd hope that the powers that be would be much better prepared for it compared to how poorly they were for the current outbreak. But then I'm not holding my breath there.

As much as I'd love to watch an NFL game in August with fans, that's honestly laughable. We'd be at about where China is now in the progression of the virus here and they just pushed back their much smaller basketball league, which would have been a few dozen people in empty arenas. Then you have the NFL's now 55-man rosters for each team not including coaches and trainers, security if you're gonna have fans. You're talking about hundreds of people even before the fans. Not to mention that the NFL, and the NHL at least, are mandated to have an ambulance at all times. Not sure that important healthcare services will want to dedicate resources to a football game, but money does talk.

With the draft going virtual, I wish they could have a draft chat for the GMs to talk smack like we do for our fantasy drafts.

I wonder if the Colts will do a video series over their draft like they did last year. That was actually pretty interesting stuff (as well as funny when Dorsey called to troll Ballard (as a friend), only for Ballard to know before he even answered that was the purpose of the call, answering "I'm working" and hanging up.

Bashaud Breeland signs 1 year 4 million dollar deal to return to Kansas City, the SB team basically remains in tact save about 4 guys.

PSA: Though it sounds like something they would do, The Jets did not sign Colin Kaepernick. A lot of people fell for a fake tweet on Twitter.
