Mostert requests a trade from the Niners. Lovely. At least I鈥檓 already 100% sure they鈥檙e going to be an 8-8 disappointment this season, or else I鈥檇 be upset. And after they traded off Breida. Lol He's 27 and coming off his first full season and even without being a starter he put up really good numbers. Most RBs are done by 30,he should be looking out for himself.

"I just probably should've never posted anything that Hitler did." PROBABLY? Motherf***er needed to couch that statement with a "probably"? Also, never mind that the statement is falsely attributed to Hitler, the mere fact that DeSean Jackson took the time to read this incredibly hateful, wildly bigoted three-paragraph statement, which he thought was attributed to the most evil person to ever live, and thought (in his own words, per his apology video) that it would "uplift African-Americans" and "enlighten my people" shows who he is. And that's before we get into the fact that he's also posted positively about the anti-vaccine movement and a prominent anti-Semitic religious leader. Drew Brees got absolutely annihilated for saying something also wrong but also far less offensive. That's annoying..... If it weren't for Double Standards there wouldn't be any Standards

If it weren't for Double Standards there wouldn't be any Standards Julian Edleman is the only one I've seen player wise who has spoken out. Meanwhile, Brees had a bunch of players, writers and every blue check mark on Twitter raking him. I'm not saying I agree with Brees, but for him to get railed the way he did and have relative crickets here is completely asinine

Yeah, I later saw that. My point still stands. The contrast between the two isn't right.

Comparing and contrasting isn't really productive tho
Both said stupid and dumb shit. Prominent black people got up Drew ass for saying something stupid and he had to walk that back. Jackson is getting dragged for this but not as many Jewish people are in a prominent position to call him out on his BS.
That doesn't make it right or wrong, that's just the way it is. At the end of the day my heart doesn't weep for Brees getting the treatment he did nor does it for Jackson who deserves more of an ass whoppin.

Because one was a ton more awful than the other, but only one of them got truly dragged by the mob. It's a bunch of crap. There were umpteen think pieces out there about Brees and how he needs to listen, apologize more, how much he let his teammates and everyone else down and most of twitter was telling him to f*** off even after he apologized....twice. Then this idiot quotes some awful stuff from "Hitler", another idiot says something dumber and then doubles and triples down with barely a peep. I don't like Drew Bees, this isn't about sticking up for him. This is about holding people to some kind of standard of consistency

Well, here is the thing. Drew Brees said his comments in the middle of the biggest civil rights movement of our lifetime. Apologizing don't mean shit when you said your comments with a ton of conviction. No one is going to believe what he said because he has to put his words in action. He tried to hide behind the flag saying his grandfathers served so he don't respect people who kneel completely ignoring black people served in that war as well. Jackson is an uneducated idiot. The min you quote anything Hitler you don't deserve the benefit of doubt of anything. However, don't get it confused. People are up his ass. What it isn't is an uproar which is more then a "peep". People are talking but it isn't shaking the world

It's just uproariously hypocritical of Stephen Jackson to say Drew Bress "can't just be saying s**t out your ass," but when he discusses DeSean Jackson's post, he IMMEDIATELY says s**t out his ass, then doubles and triples down on it. I feel like I'm toeing the line on politics here, so at the risk of getting everything shut down, I'll voluntarily cut myself off, but I'll end it with this: f**k DeSean Jackson and f**k Stephen Jackson. But when it comes to Julian Edelman, there's a Yiddish word to describe him: mensch. It means "someone to admire and emulate, someone of noble character." After what he said today, that's the kind of person he is.

He's done great in bringing the movement forward but defending Jackson, he can f*** off with that because he's killing all the positive he did over last few months I think that's the sad part about this. As much good as Jackson did for BLM post George Floyd, by exposing and doubling down on his own ignorance, he not only gave ammo to the detractors of that movement, but also undermined his own credibility so that anything he does in the future won't be taken as seriously. I almost feel like Jackson was doing a parody of a white person caught saying the N-Word. "I have black friends", "I love everybody", "I didn't mean to offend anyone". No one is going to buy it, especially if you double down. It's like, how the F can you see Hitler's name invoked and not realize that you were co-signing something terrible? I'm not a big fan of "cancel culture", but if you want consistency, then Jackson has to be included.

Somebody uses Hitler as a good example of something, yells racist things at a group of people, harasses black people constantly, does blackface, etc. Then yeah, put them on blast. But people like Brees and somebody like some girl from "The Bachelor" rapping along to a song, saying the "N" word in the lyrics...like, come on...use your f***ing heads.
