Patriots are apparently trading for Muhammad Sanu. Which is good for them with the exception the compensation is said to be a second round pick. Yikes

That moment in fantasy football when you realized at the last second before the weekend that your QB's are hurt/bye so you pick up Sam Darnold for 1 game and you go into Monday only needing 6 points to win and he gives you -8.
I got J-E-T-S'ed

The agents for both Eric Ebron and Darius Leonard have gotten on the ball getting T shirts licensed for their players based on plays they made Sunday.
Ebron's one handed TD in the back of the endzone is the first (his coordinator even wore this shirt in press briefings today).
Leonard's shirt features the NASTY stiff arm he gave Kenny Stills after he intercepted Watson's final pass to seal the game.
BTW, Ebron's TD came on a play where the Colts ran Quentin Nelson as the fullback. I can only imagine what the Texans' linebackers were thinking on that play. I'm betting it was "Oh please let this be a fake out. Nelson hits hard enough when blocking. I don't want him hitting me at full speed!"

His only weakness is shitty QB play. I mean he might have lost a step (which is hard to tell with Flacco) but he is still a great guy to have with a young QB.

When’s the last time he had a solid QB? Peyton? Yeah and he actually made Trevor Siemian look decent as well. Up until Sutton this year he was our entire passing game.

His numbers weren’t awful last year but he is 32 so one would assume hes dealing with more than just bad QB play effecting his decline.

All things being equal, as a Patriots fan I think I'd rather have Emmanuel Sanders and a fifth-round pick in exchange for a third- and fourth-round pick over Mohamed Sanu for a second-round pick, but I can't be too mad about the deal. The Patriots clearly needed another receiving target for Tom Brady and they needed to diversify their offense a bit to give Brady more options than "throw it to Edelman or hope for the best," when the depth is tested.
If and when Josh Gordon and N'Keal Harry get healthy, they'll boast a pretty formidable receiving corps with Edelman, Gordon, Sanu, Harry, Philip Dorsett II, and Jakobi Meyers.
In a perfect world, the next move would to be to acquire Trent Williams to fill their hole at offensive tackle, but I know that's going to cost a small fortune and it seems they're content living with Marshall Newhouse at the position until Isaiah Wynn returns from injury.

With David Johnson nursing an ankle injury, Cardinals are signing veteran RB Alfred Morris, per source.

Think of it this way; with Sanu the Patriots will now have two receivers that can throw on trick plays (and Sanu actually has perfect career passer rating).

Another factor I did not consider, but makes the price tag more palatable, is that Sanu has two years remaining on his current contract, whereas Sanders’ deal expires at season’s end.
