I'm picturing mrbananagrabber going about his day muttering to himself about the 24/7 title the entire time.

I hate the name. I hate the title. I hate the f***ing jobbers running after one another. I hate the attempted wackiness of it all. How long are they going to keep up this goofy horseshit for anyway cos it got tedious after the first ten minutes. I. Hate. It.

Tonight was what I wanted more out of it, more of a purpose and it actually integrating into storylines. And actual like, pinfalls in defense of said titles also taking place. I want real matches for the belt, in between all the wacky rollup chasing that has gotten stale by now.
My biggest complaint is them "suspending" the 24/7 title for the tag match, which makes absolutely no sense and goes against the entire purpose of the belt and we're only two weeks in, which is very current WWE of them...

I like the idea.
The problem for me is with the old HC title when there was 7 or 8 guys trying to catch the champion and win the title it looked somewhat realistic. This time however on Raw it looked like Truth was running at half pace so he wouldn't run too far from the other guys and some of the wrestlers were walking slowly into position to take a move. It looked waaaayyyy too contrived and acted out and that never seemed to be a problem with the 24/7 rule last time.
I love the idea of it though and hope they really make an effort to make this entertaining.

Do something interesting besides "random runs around the arenas with 15 different wrestlers because most of the roster has nothing to do."
But as long as they don't do something dumb like suspend the 24/7 rules during a match, negating the whole point of that belt.
*reads SD! recap report*
Well.

To be fair, it was Shane doing that for Elias to protect his boy

You don’t do it two weeks in regardless of whose champ.

It looks like R Truth almost botched that segment last night. After Truth pinned Drake, it looked like he was about to dash out the ring, only to catch his foot on the rope and play it off as a dance.

Why doesn't R-Truth just not come to the arena or, if he has to be there, never appear on camera, that way he doesn't tip off anyone to his being there?
Agreed, the whole thing needs an actual gimmick behind it, otherwise why would anybody want the belt? If you win it, your life becomes a living hell for, apparently, no reason, because the title doesn't come with more money, future better title shots or featured spots, or anything that would make it appealing.

From what I hear - the 24/7 Title is a USA Network idea. Apparently USA had sent a load of ideas to Vince to be used on the show, and they felt they had to use one to make USA happy and thought the 24/7 Title was the best one.
Makes me wonder what else USA suggested

He even gave a backstage promo after winning it back saying he doesn't even know how to feel right now, acknowledging that everyone is after him. I was wondering too though why someone doesn't just win it and then pull a Brock and disappear for several months.

Off topic..somebody remind me what this originally was after? I feel like something shocking happened to end a ppv and then this was the very next thing to play in the network.

it should be exclusive to youtube & wwe.com . Meaning there should be segments posted there only and it not be part of any main show . That way fans have the option to ignore it ( as I would )

Meh it's harmless to me. Will it be the same as the HC one? Not with PG in effect and no hitting people in the head with exotic weapons. But it's all right.
Apparently USA wanted it (methinks a lot of problems would be loosened up minus that relationship)

It was also featured on 205 live this week. When Drake Maverick was doing a backstage interview which he ended so that he could chase after R-Truth.

I understand the concept, Im saying they should film the segments on those shows - but have the clips exclusive to youtube .

They need to throw some weapons into the mix but either way it's going to get old soon.
