Jesus, Terry Funk who is older than Vince is saying/said they're out of ideas. Terry, who's old enough to seen the rise and fall of dozen of promotions. Terry Funk, who is almost as old as Mickie James is saying this!

A friend of mine spoke with PAC last month, and PAC told him the only way things in WWE will change is that "one person needs to die". Says it all.

I'm inclined to believe that this anonymous wrestler & Mox aren't the only people in the WWE locker room who shares this sentiment. Listening to it, it hit me that this was a WWE main eventer talking about his experiences and frustrations. So if that’s how a guy at the top of the card feels, imagine what performers who are lower down or not even on TV are feeling.

Whatever issues I may have with WWE's onscreen product, this is a vile and disgusting sentiment from PAC. It's not far off hoping Vince dies, purely because a televised wrestling show isn't as good as people want it to be. Yes, WWE has been poor for a while now, but talk about some f***ing perspective.

It's a fine line to walk; Vince isn't giving up control until Old Scratch drags him off to Hades, that part is more-or-less matter of fact. But I'd like to think most people aren't actively wanting it. Considering how much "Vince is the worst person alive" stuff you see lately, though, who knows?

Multiple wrestlers have stated this There’s precedence in the idea that really busy people keep up that routine to live so the moment they stop being busy and slow down, their body can’t cope as much, hence they are more likely to die not long after. If there was a scenario, unlikely as it is, where Vince was forced out, that’d pretty much be what happens.

Meltzer said on WOR that at least 2 hands worth of people have inquired about leaving and some would shock you.
EDIT: Apparently Meltzer said it's actually 2 hands worth of people that HAVEN'T inquired about leaving. Damn.

Meltzer said on WOR that at least 2 hands worth of people have inquired about leaving and some would shock you. There honestly isn't anyone that would shock me. Hell I thought Jericho and Ambrose were lifers. I think we're in uncharted territory and no one would really surprise me much. Given the Ambrose podcast it sounds like a f***ing nightmare backstage, really couldn't fault anyone wanting out.

So... what do we do now? Because of everything that’s been happening, the discourse around WWE is as depressed, despairing and as bleak as I’ve ever seen it, and it ain’t gonna get any better in a hurry because they’re more financially secure now than they ever were at mass critical acclaim.

Meltzer said on WOR that at least 2 hands worth of people have inquired about leaving and some would shock you. My money's on Balor and Orton. I would put money on Balor. He joined WWE in that weird hazy period where New Japan hadn't REALLY caught fire just yet, and he probably feels like he missed the boat a bit on becoming a marquee guy for them, and making comparable money while being used better.

It's always tough to say with foreign guys in New Japan, since for many of them they tend to enjoy working there but also get fed up with the rough travel involved when you live in the US, Canada, or Europe and have to get to Tokyo on the regular; it's entirely possible Devitt/Balor was simply ready to stop making that trek so often, and that might not have changed. That said, I have to think he's a prime "wouldn't mind a look at AEW" candidate alongside Gallows and Anderson, given their connections and the obvious mini-Bullet Club reunion that'd involve.

Meltzer said on WOR that at least 2 hands worth of people have inquired about leaving and some would shock you. The only people that would shock me at this point are those Performance Center recruits that don't have any pre-existing indie cred. And even some of THEM (the guy that had the concussion scare, for example) want out.

I can't say with a hundred percent certainty of at the time of Balor signing with E, but I know for a long while he (like Omega) was living in Japan. So the trek wasn't too bad when you consider that (at least when he lived there, again, he may have moved at some point).

It will probably be better if they did release the 15 or so people who want out just for morale purposes and probably open up screen time for the people who want to stick around.

But then they may have to use guys they have no interest in using and, more importantly, Vince would no longer have any illusion of control over those people he released.

WWE has gone full WCW in 2000 to the end.
