Action figures, an update on the video game, or AEW Saturday Night at 6:05 PM Eastern on TBS. Clearly AEW Ice Cream Bars. If AEW convinced Good Humor to make them after WWE faltered, that'd just be a hilarious coup.

Opening segment enforces every single goddarn stereotype about male wrestling fans. I mean, he's a better promo then most male wrestling fans I know, myself included... I was gonna say, he's got a voice. He could do voice over work.

I mean, it's big in so far as it's a good main event, but it's not a surprise given it's the logical choice. Page, Omega, and the Bucks are coming off of losses, Moxley and PAC have only had one match in AEW each and the former still owes Omega a match, and no one else is really main event material yet or have lost more matches than Cody, like Penta and Fenix, though I am sure one or both of them will get title matches before too long.

I'm admittedly a bit of a fanboy of this company so far but even saying that I do have to say that it's nice to see wins mean something again. I mean, sure Jericho had one match before this that made him #1 contender but Page still built up wins, even after the Casino Royal, and felt like a #1 contender by the time he got to All Out and now Cody feels like the next best person for the title match.
Wonder if anyone here is putting together a win/loss sheet for the roster, I'd do it but between a job, internship, and my senior year in college I have very little free time anymore. Be kinda interesting to see who would have the next logical shot if Cody loses next. Also kind of interested if AEW is going to have the former champ get a rematch or if they'll slide down the ladder so to speak.

Cody just teased a big announcement tomorrow (today). Action figures, an update on the video game, or AEW Saturday Night at 6:05 PM Eastern on TBS. I actually would like to hear toy news tbh.

Would it be win/loss just for matches in the company, or would we be counting stuff like Jericho losing to Okada, or Bucks/Lucha Bros' AAA matches? Guessing the former makes more sense.

Isn't The AEW World Title going to be defended on like The 3rd episode or so?

Also we do all realize that the more we immediately link this stuff to what TNA, the AWA, WCW etc would become we start to will that stuff into existence for AEW, right? Like, give them a chance to f*** up first before we just presume it’ll all happen because of history.

He has every right to have a big head about AEW. I just think that hyping a "big announcement" only to have it be him vs. Jericho is a little much. You don't tease that, you just announce it. You tease things like surprise debuts and whatnot. I don't know, I like Cody a lot, but I don't think he's worthy of "big surprise" hype in his own promotion. We all expected a Jericho match at some point.

Eh, it's the main event, some pomp and circumstance is in order.
