He's out of his mind on that battle royal rating. -The group entrant format was confusing and did no one any favors, and they were obviously screwed up on the first group. -Several spots were completely missed by the camera. -Somebody on commentary stating that Orange Cassidy was the surprise 22nd entrant. -They did the slimy-heel-hides-under-the-ring-until-the-very-end spot with MJF. That spot has been done to death. -The timekeeper f***ed up and rang the bell early. Amateur hour, and it may have swayed people from buying the show I think the match waa fun. i get a 3 star rating. And personally i enjoyed the casino flavor But it was NOT a good choice to introduce the brand to viewers that are not wrestling savvy For as many problems as there were with the battle royal's format and production, it still served its primary purpose in showcasing a lot of talent in quick fashion. Three stars is pushing it, but I wouldn't go lower than 1.5 considering it did serve its purpose in the end.

It’s one guys biased opinion on everything. Which makes it a good measure of wrestling, the reason his start ratings matter is because you can look at matches now and compare them to matches of the past he has rated. He has the criteria that he works with and how he applies it and he tries to be consistent. It is frankly a solid and robust system of a sketchy concept like "match quality."

It’s one guys biased opinion on everything. And everyone is entitled to theirs. "You're biased! You liked it!" "You're biased! You hated it!"

One guy's opinion blah blah etc but he is out of his mind giving that battle royal a 3. I know it's going to become a huge cliche but "If WWE had done that...." no way in hell that's a 3. It was awful til the end (in MY extra special opinion!).

And he’s a guy who’s been reporting on the industry for an eternity. But I wouldn’t use his feelings as a way to gauge the overall quality of a show, personally

A five star match to me means a match that is so good there is no room for improvement.
Dustin and Cody is absolutely 5 stars.

Dusty, Cody, Dustin have all had at least one 5 Star Match. That's damn good stat for a Wrestling family.

One of my friends that knew almost 0 about Wrestling(He didnt even know the rules for pins or tag teams) is watching Double or Nothing,I will post a full breaking report when he finishes,he paused on Omega vs Jericho.
Anyway, he absolutely felt the emotion of Cody vs Dustin, like many here said he felt the blood added to the emotion and the post match speech was the cherry on top.Even knowing nothing about wrestling he was able to "read" the story through the match. Funny how it is a very similar opinion to a lot of what the many years fan here say.

I do find it annoying, too. I forget if it was Austin or someone else who was praising Rusev for, in a Rumble match, grabbing onto the ropes, tussling with guys, etc, even when the camera wasn't pointed at him. He wasn't just waiting around for shit, and I wish more guys would learn that. That said, I do think it's dubious the preshow would have got someone not to buy the show. Surely that decision would have been made before the preshow was even airing, who the hell turns that on and staves off buying or not until the zero hour? That's not a thing people do, is it?
