Just checked out the result because I completely forgot there was a PPV tonight. It looks like they did good with the women's booking. I am hoping they move Becky onto another challenger. It's refreshing to not see Charlotte challenge for the title. This is literally the first time in years that apart from injury she hasn't challenged for a title. Plus Bayley went over Alexa and got to exorcise that demon. It looks like Smackdown is going to be genuinely great for Bayley in rebuilding herself and getting away from being a goober as she was often portrayed on Raw.
Looks like the results were by and large what they should be, though it doesn't look like any feuds actually finished which is a shame because several of them should.

How to get a world champion over. Make him the damsel in distress so his girlfriend can save him. I now want to see a Seth and Bobby Roode feud where Roode ties Seth to train tracks and twirls his mustache while Seth screams for help before Becky comes and saves him just in the nick of time.

Brollins. That's just not even remotely clever. Those are impossible names to do this with. You do surname plus surname and you end up with "Rynch" or "Lollins". Or first names and you end up with "Secky" or "Beth". Sure you can Rollynch. Boom.

So anything from this show worth checking out besides the Cruiserweight and US title matches?

So anything from this show worth checking out besides the Cruiserweight and US title matches? SmackDown Tag title match was way better than expected, and New Day v Owens/Zayn was fairly solid too. Based on what I can gather, watch the whole show until you get to the end of Bayley v Bliss.

So anything from this show worth checking out besides the Cruiserweight and US title matches? #3 in my wife's "Top 5 Moments" of the night was Becky slapping Seth's ass then holding the ropes open for him. What I'm saying is the show didn't have a lot of highlights. It wasn't a bad show, but didn't have a lot going for it. Felt more like an after PPV RAW full of rematches than an actual PPV. Which makes we wonder if they are going to double down with rematches tonight.

So what happened that made Becky come out for Seth? Was this the first time they publicly acknowledged they're a couple?

So what happened that made Becky come out for Seth? Was this the first time they publicly acknowledged they're a couple? Lacey Evans was Baron Corbin’s special referee, and her meddling was about to make Rollins lose the Universal belt, but Lynch made the save.

Have Corbin and Evans been hanging out lately, or was this just a forced effort to get Seth and Becky together on television?

Have Corbin and Evans been hanging out lately, or was this just a forced effort to get Seth and Becky together on television? No, it was definitely just trying to put the IRL couple together for an angle/possible match. Rollins has been attacking anyone that Corbin has tried to recruit for that role, but he couldn’t do that to Evans because of the intergender restrictions.

This past week's TV they made Rollins out to be the next Austin, just laying waste to potential refs with a chair left and right. Of course when Austin was on top he could have cared less if Lacey was ref or not. The minute she refused to count and got in his face, slapped him around, etc. she would have eaten a stunner and Austin would have used her unconscious arm to count the 3 on Corbin. In fact why didn't they at least do the "Lacey's lifeless arm counts 3" spot last night? Becky could beat her senseless and throw her back in, Seth hits the curbstomp on Corbin, uses her arm for the 3. Having the other ref from the initial Saudi match come down just ensures another crappy Corbin match.

Before that it had been a couple years.

Talk about a missed opportunity in the main event. Lacey won't count to 3, how about when Becky comes out she gets Lacey in the Disarm-her, Rollins hits the stomp and then Lacey taps out which counts as her making the count.
