The patch apparently gives some of the enemies a bit of a nerf, especially the Assault Adaptoid (the fire robot guy who used to have a powerful laser).

avengers released the first the 1.30 patch on PC/xbox/ apparently it's not on playstation yet it's going to fix so many bugs It's there now. 10GB... but one of the patch notes is reduced enemy aggressiveness. So hopefully less of those magic missiles or freaking lasers. linkOh, they added a motion blur bar for adjustment and fixed the fabrication machine. Also those playing the game make sure to log in after the patch to claim 22 challenge points. The deal expires Thursday the 25th. So this a nice step forward. There's still some bugs popping up, but hopefully the devs can stomp those out too. I got Cap to 50 now and am working on Black Widow and Kamala.

Got in the mood to dig around for some info on this and it seems pretty safe to go ahead and call this game yet another live service dud. Its sales have already dropped off and at this point even on weekends it seemingly can't make it to 2,000 players at a time on Steam anymore. Earlier today there were points it wasn't even making it to 600.

Loved the single player experience but the post-game is the dumbest grind there is. I mean, I get they pshed back the Black Panther stuff apparently, for good reasons, but it's led to a down fall in player base.

It really doesn't seem as if they even had enough content planned to make this work as a live service. The campaign was great, but why even bother attempting a "live service" model if you're going to give up a month or so after launch?
I mean, I know it's a cash grab, but still.

With things like Spider-man I wouldn't be surprised if they are incompatible.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure there will be no xplay for Sony simply because of that, and because it's Sony. I've started playing the game again after taking a few weeks off to focus on Red Dead and other pursuits, and I do like that there's a new SHIELD hub and that they're building storyline elements around, aka tachyon storms that are causing time riffs across the world. I still cannot for the life of me beat one goddamn HARM Room mission that keeps kicking my ass.

It tells you the consequences of dubious game design when Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 sold half as much as Avengers but actually turned a profit (even when being a Switch exclusive).

I'm guessing Final Fantasy VII Remake's PS4 exclusivity will end before Avengers gets an proper PS5/Xbox series X version now

Just want to point out that Fire Emblem Three Houses celebrated 3 million sales as the highest sales of the franchise.
Sure, that’s a single platform game but it demonstrates partially how crazy AAA gaming has gotten.

Yeah, like, Three Houses can turn a profit at three million copies because it is on no level a technological triumph - if anything it'd probably look kind of shitty on the 360 - so there's no reason for these mega budget, world-shattering blockbuster games that need to make hundreds of millions of dollars to break even, and yet Three Houses is by far the more well-received and beloved of the two games despite not having that same kind of money behind it. Hell, probably the most ambitious thing 3H does is having all of the dialogue voiced, and that's not really that incredible or expensive.
