Sure, the Tiger LCD handheld games were awful, but you have to admit the marketing job they did selling them was pretty damn impressive.

I had the Sonic 2 and Land of the Lost. I probably had another 1 or 2 but I can't remember.

They sure had a way of making things seem more interesting than they actually were.

I had the Castlevania 2 and a submarine one. Also had the Zelda LCD game watch. The watch wasn't bad. Castlevania 2 was decent. The sub game was pretty bad.

For what they were they really weren't that bad. They weren't good for more than a few minutes of play at a stretch, but you got what you paid for with em. It's like Where is the surprise that this 'video game' that was only a few bucks ain't very good?

I had Ninja Gaiden and Silver Surfer. They were okay for what they were, but I preferred the Radio Shack LCD games. I'd rather play "move the car left or right to avoid the obstacles" or "get the tank across the bridge without hitting the bombs" than Tiger's lame attempts at recreating NES games.

I seem to remember Nintendo's Game And Watch games being more playable than these Tiger ones.

It's like a decade+ into the medium they finally got down how to make a compelling game, and it happened to fit perfectly with the franchise.
