This would disqualify anyone still under contract with WWE, AEW, Impact, ROH, New Japan, Dragon Gate, NOAH or the like, even if everyone's convinced their foot's out the door.

I guess Minoru Suzuki would be high up there, given I think the whole shtick of Suzuki-Gun is that they're uncontracted outsiders, and he can seemingly pop up wherever he wants to go.

It's getting harder to name them. So many people signed to either AEW, ROH, MLW, NJPW, Impact, and of course WWE.
I can't believe I'm actually listing some of these, but it's hard to come up with free agents. -LA Park (has some kind of deal with MLW, but I bet he's free to sign somewhere if he wanted to) -Joey Ryan -David Starr -Eli Drake -Nick Gage -David Arquette -Ryan Reeves (not active on the scene any more) -Jake Hager/Jack Swagger (mostly focused on Bellator MMA) -Timothy Thatcher -Flamita -Orange Cassidy -Austin Theory -Fred Yehi -La Mascara -Chris Brookes
For women (not sure how the WOW show affects availability): -Mercedes Martinez -Nicole Savoy -Alyssin Kay/Sienna -Priscilla Kelly -Thunder Rosa -Holidead -Yuu -Madison Eagles -Veda Scott -Hudson Envy -Shazza McKenzie -Syuri (signed to UFC. Inactive in wrestling) -Cheerleader Melissa -ASUKA (not WWE's Asuka) -Ayako Hamada (inactive/retired following drug scandal)

The biggest true, potential game changing free agent in wrestling is CM Punk, to the extent that there’s a chance he may return to wrestling.
I agree with a lot of the names that have already been said here, too. Particularly Orange Cassidy...his gimmick is a bit strange, but he’s an excellent ring psychologist and has a lot of star potential. The same holds true for Jervis Cottonbelly/Kevin Condron, I think. I’d really like to see both go to AEW and get to work on a bigger stage full time.

It's astonishing how few ex-WWE guys are still out there that seem to matter.

It's astonishing how few ex-WWE guys are still out there that seem to matter. This can be said of those still signed to WWE and their week to week exploits.
