A big ass open world Last of Us where you potentially meet other survivors and do missions Take my money I believe they said it's not going to be a full on open world. But the latter part sounds like a probability. Soooo Last of Us is using the God of War 2018 approach. HELL YEAH!

Which is also still fine because the locations in God of War were big and you had a lot to do. I would assume it is a mix of both, you don't want to have the world too open to mess up up the narrative but I expect big locations in between your story arcs Could even be like Horizon Zero Dawn with the mission aspects

The thing being that doing these side missions would give you benefits like supplies and ammo, maybe even special weapons to help you out. It would be a perfect way to balance gameplay out for a challenge or not.

Obviously money don’t really mean much of shit so things like guns, ammo etc from these missions could be big Also having those different territories specialize in diff things could be fun too. One group specializes in ammo, one in guns, another in armor or clothes etc

Also, first hands-on preview. Was trying to find the lightest spoiler version of this that I could and it sounded like this was okay. Apparently IGN's hands-on spoils a ton for those who don't want to know too much sooo...that's unsurprising. Seeing Joel show up in the trailer was the last “spoiler” I will see. I’m going to avoid learning anything else about this game, so I can love every little thing about it as it happens. Get here soon, February 21st.

Yea I am pretty much in the same boat Once it hits like Feb, I might catch a video of how the world may look but I want to go in blind. If they do something like how Red Dead with their breakdowns of how the game is without spoiling too much than even better

So yeah, sounds like Factions II is going to be it's own separate (possibly FTP) entity.

The more I read and see, the more I'm excited.
Sounds like it's a tougher game, too. I guess I have to figure out how to get the rust off by the time it comes out. Haven't been playing games too much lately.

As long as there's a new factions mode coming eventually I'm good. I wouldn't want every mode to be like this, but I'd love a mode where clickers interrupt randomly.

Several people are reporting that TLOUII has already broken pre-order records for the PS4, on BOTH physical and digital fronts.

Factions, the multiplayer mode, was a lot of fun. I got pretty good with the bow and setting those nail bombs, haha. One of the coolest parts about it was that it would pull your friends list from Facebook and integrate it into the game, using them as your 'people' that you were delivering resources to. They even used their picture, so you'd have a tiny bit of extra incentive to see them do well and not, you know, die. Never played it on PS4, but I played it for about a year straight on PS3.
Anyway, first and foremost comes the single player experience, and that trailer hyped me up big time. That first game was something special, and this one looks right on par for what I wanted to see in a potential sequel.

Given the ending of the first game, I can see how there could be a divide between the two of them

Given the ending of the first game, I can see how there could be a divide between the two of them Well Ellie has survivors guilt. It will be interesting to see if Joel ever told her the truth about what happened because we all expect that too come out at some point but just don’t know if it happened already Idk if Dina is dead but I expect that “cult” seriously injured her or did something to the group for Ellie to be on a revenge tour like this

And to two weeks after The Avengers, I wonder what the first big PS4 excdlusive game of 2020 is now? Yakuza 5 remaster? I think MLB 20 The Show is Sony's first First Party game of 2020 now
