As long as dude can surf he'll be happy. I always got the feeling he was coming here to mark off days until retirement. Either way he'll be as chill as ever. Yeah, dude pretty much also said he’s in WWE as a final pay day and you know what? Dude’s headline enough Tokyo Dome shows and had a tonne of class matches to deserve being paid hundreds of thousands to come to WWE shows and perform on Main Event. For a younger/more creatively motivated guy? Sure that’d suck. For Nakamura? Even if he left tomorrow, he’d at the very least be able to tick it off the bucket list. Nak is on Main Event now??? Man and just last year he had the wwe title shot at frickin WRESTLEMANIA

So no one really for a year (Good brothers will go back to Japan surely) which is probably for the best as it allows AEW to establish an identity which would be a factor in who they want.
There’s absolutely no way to get out of a WWE contract then? (I assume they are wise to talent trying to get fired) Sasha couldn’t buy her way out of it or anything?

I might be wrong but I believe he is the only Royal Rumble winner in the last 25 years to not be a former or a future world champion. That last time that happened was Lex Luger I believe. So it's amazing that they had so much faith in him to win the rumble or need to just forget he ever got the World title shot as it was treated as an afterthought

One I want to know is Rusev. You know damn well he’s going to AEW whenever his contract expires and yes I’m pretty sure AEW will take him as well Was curious about this, and apparently he got a 3 year extension in 2017 so his is in 2020 as well

Thank God, WWE has Booker T locked up under contract. That's all you need.

I don't think the Good Brothers will be looking to head back to Japan; the whole reason they came over with AJ is that they were looking to cut down on the amount of back and forth flying they had to do between the States and Japan, and get some more weekends at home with their families. However, the Good Brothers are certainly on good terms with the Young Bucks, who clearly have a keen interest on making their tag division a key part of AEW... How will AEQ or NJPC possibly break that glass ceiling when Sin Cara won’t be available for three years? I don't know about All Elite Quoits, since they should be fine (it's just tossing knotted ropes into a target, fer Pete's sake), but New Japan Pro Curling will definitely be counting down the days until they can bring in Sin Cara as their ace-level stone thrower.

I really, really want Orton to jump to AEW. He's done everything there is to do in WWE, seeing him with the reins off and with some new blood to RKO would do wonders. Plus, Orton's spent his entire career working within the confines and restrictions imposed by the WWE style. I'd love to see what he can do without as many limits as to what he's allowed to do.

Smackdown doesn't have a D-level show, so he just works blue house shows now.

What the hell are they going to do with Sin Cara for another three years? The guy hasn’t been remotely over or done anything of note since he debuted, why keep him around? So he can provide us with enough pictures to keep the Sin Cara photoshop threads forever?

I never knew I wanted to see Orton working the indies or in AEW until I opened this thread. Hell, I'd lose my shit and would mark out for the first time in years if he strolled out on Impact haha

Seeing the length of Kevin Owens contract actively hurts me. Dude is one of my all-time favorites and I miss seeing him being a killer.

Nakamura stuff is a bit past, his deal was up in February and he chose to re-sign, he has no care about not being used right, he's in WWE to get paid well to work a light load.

Orton would be a fool to consider jumping, the WWE are willing to pay him a fortune for being average and he has never worked outside their system for any length of time so may quickly be found lacking like Sandow and Angle before him. I doubt he'd entertain jumping in any case, if he had a burning desire to let loose and show he can have great matches night after night for the joy of doing so, he would have done so by now, either during his rebellious ahole spree, or during his recent run where he's respected enough to get that leeway if he pushed for it.
Guy is running down the clock and cashing cheques, I won't begrudge him that. If the WWE will pay millions for mediocre, he should take them for every penny.

f***. Randy must be going to sleep every night with a smirk on his face. His renegotiation period is going to be veeeerrrryyyyy interesting. New competition funded by a billionare with his friend in charge, or place where he's already a sure HOF'er and where his other friend is poised to take over the company someday, and which would be desperate to keep him, and newly flush with Fox/Saudi money to sweeten the pot. It's good time to be him for sure.
Also, if the Good Brothers aren't on TNT by Christmas, I'll be very surprised.

Orton to AEW- Legacy 2.0 confirmed!
though it would be interesting to have him come in as cocky heel "I sold out stadiums for over a decade and now I see some company new starting up thinking they can do better? i'll prove them wrong one R-K-O at a time and make this company wish it never started up to begin with." sort of like a one man hall/nash Outsiders thing in WCW. comes in RKOing and leaving before anyone can get to him. eventually this leads to Cody vs Orton for the endgame where orton loses, gives cody respect after the match says "maybe i was wrong about this place." at the next TV airing then settles in for whatever role he feels like from there on out.
having said that I think wwe would offer one of vince's grandkids if it keeps the biggest potential get for AEW to stay away from them.

Another one I’m curious about is Cena’s contract. How are him and the Rock allowed to do movies while still under contract? And whenever Cena’s contract does expire I doubt he’s gonna re sign
