Season 4 and 5 still holds up basically 10 years later
Currently on S6 and while I remember not being crazy into this season, soul-less Sam was a fun character due to how dickheaded he was and Dean having to play a different role as well
Know S7 and S8 is where I started to tap out so those will be the meh seasons but looking forward to the stuff I missed out on like the Darkness and Cain and Abel

Did a rewatch a little bit ago with some friends that had seen some seasons, and some episodes, but never the entire thing. We made it into a big gathering thing for us.
Oofff post-S5 is rough.
There's some good episodes here and there, and even some good seasons post-S5 in no small part due to some of the actors elevating the material they have to work with with their talent but you can really tell the multi-season long vision is gone (in spite of their attempts to try to give the illusion there's one at times) until S8? Jeremy Carver clearly had a better grasp of the type of storytelling a show like this should be attempting and seemed like a more competent showrunner than who he replaced.
I think Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer's stay as co-showrunners has been a mixed bag. Their first season was good. Really good. I'd honestly say it may have been the best season of the show post-S5 and really felt like a return to form. I felt S13 was solid, though not quite as strong as S12 and S14...it's up there with S7 in terms of some straight up rancid episodes. Not even a so bad it's good or fun to laugh at way either. Just a boring bad.

Just a boring bad. As I said S6 is pretty decent but obviously can't match the high of S5. Sam without a soul was a diff perspective, Cass "turning evil" ended up being a good season ending twist. They did play fast and loose with some of the monsters especially with Eve basically being fodder Season 6 was basically a fallout from Season 5 which isn't bad in theory. As I said I liked it got what it was. Season 7 is basically brand new with really not much of value. Killing off Bobby was a big blow as well. Season 8 featuring the brothers feuding. Metatron was okay but it at least had a cool season finale with the Angels falling. The Leviathans just weren't a good hook for S7 especially off the idea of Cass being the big bad and it lasting all of one episode. I think people are hoping the same doesn't happen with Chuck/God for the last season

Supernatural is kind of weird for me, and it's why I respect shows like Breaking Bad and The Good Place that find a place to end and just do it without living past its story and becoming watered down and weird. Part of me will always wish it had been allowed to end with Kripke's vision in tact (and I still imagine how Lucifer vs Michael would've gone if not for CW forcing it to live on). Maybe some day I'll attempt rewatching all of it and see how I feel once it's over too.

Just a boring bad. Season 11 is when it all seemed to click, and the show got it's mojo back big time. You had the Amara storyline, and episodes like Baby, Plush, Just My Imagination, Into the Mystic, Beyond the Mat, and Don't Call Me Shurley. Season 11 and on, they found the strong season long storylines to keep interest. I've liked 11, 12, 13, and 14.

Yea, from what I seen those seasons resemble a little more of the early era as opposed to the middle seasons after season 5
