As someone who loves (loved?) watching a lot of the Let's Play Minecraft material along with a lot of the other Achievement Hunter stuff, this is more than a little disappointing. The article does focus on the animation part of RT but I wonder if AH is affected by this as well.

This....yeah, this doesn't entirely surprise me, and I'm a fan of the company. A company like this, that is built a LOT on "hiring from the fanbase", on top of just explosive growth over the past few years, and...yeah, I can see issues like this cropping up in a big bad way. I hope Matt is sincere in what he says, but the fact that it's even come to this is a pretty bad indicator.

Not at all shocking, sadly.
Between just RWBY and Gen:Lock, not to mention the regular clip they release Death Battles at(with many of the fights either being choreographed CGI or sprite battles that more times than not nowadays also feature them including their own 2D animation drawn just for that particular battle(for example, nearly everything Ben 10 did in the Ben 10 vs Green Lantern fight animation was original 2D animation they did)) I can see how this can lead to crunch.
