I know, I am a little late on this, but I remember reading a while back that Taylor Wilde was working at a Sunglass Hut. This was also when she was the Knockouts Champion. Were there other examples of TNA wrestlers working day jobs? I mean the Sunglass Hut story has become quite a joke on the internet. I found her on Instagram, by the way, and I see that she is a firefighter now. Good for her, but I kind of wonder if she'll ever live it down about a fan recognizing her while she was working at Sunglass Hut. I mean I had read that Chris Sabin was working at Subway a long time ago while he was X-Division champion.
Any other examples?

Goes all the way back to Shane Douglas and probably earlier than that.

ODB was working in a bar iirc.
But back then there was no excuse why the KOs were underpaid as hell, the company was a million times richer than today....

Brooke Tessmacher was working at a Hooters, as I recall I thought she was a Hooter girl way before her foray into wrestling, although I could very well be wrong. Would've loved to be sat in her section.

Cookie was also a bartender and got some TMZ attention during her TNA tenure pointing that out, IIRC.
I remember reading that both Bucks worked at a Radio Shack.
There was a story that went around that a very prominent X-Divisioner at the time had a day job in the automotive department of a Sears. It was heavily speculated, though unconfirmed, to have been Jay Lethal.

Would've loved to be sat in her section. Yeah i think she still had it as a side gig during her run. Also appearing at auto shows and bikini contests. James Mitchell was also doing his karaoke gig when TNA moved into the Impact Zone.

How dare people work a job to pay their bills. El oh el at them. At least personally, it's not that. It's that these people were employed by the number 2 promotion in North America, maybe the world at points, owned by a rich oil company. And they couldn't be bothered paying them enough that they could live off of it. Nothing against the people, making the most of their situation, but reflects disgracefully on the company.

And it goes a step further in that it's understandable when you're a weekend warrior and have a M-F job and wrestle the rest of the time, it's quite another when you're doing that at what is the second biggest fed in the US at the time. At that time, TNA was on Spike, Dixie and Panda Energy were millionaires, and they were throwing tons of money at people like Hulk Hogan and his cronies, and you had people who were champions at the time working day jobs. That's not how a major company should be run, and people called them out for that. Even ROH, for all their issues, doesn't have their champions working side jobs or being on public assistance to just survive.

"Part Time Wrestling" would be an interesting concept.
Wrestlers would feud, but only if they can get time off from their other job.

Shelley was in the same boat as Sabin for most of his time in Impact and there were a few incidents of people spotting him or running into him at these jobs, snapping pics and him asking them to take them down when they posted them online. Also Shelley bounced around being in various bands (including eventually one that featured Sabin and Petey Williams if memory serves me correctly).

How dare people work a job to pay their bills. El oh el at them. Knock that shit off. This is about people who had to work a SECOND job at the same time they were working for TNA.
