Owens may be one of the saddest examples of how badly WWE can kill a wrestler dead in the modern era.
Dude was consistently hot fire on the indies for years. Years.
Dude was a killer in NXT.
But the moment he lost that creative freedom to do the character arcs he wanted to do and they stopped aping what had worked in the indies for him...it all started going down hill real fast.
I can't say I'm entirely surprised. Dude was miserable in a Cornette overseen ROH due to how overbearing he felt Cornette was in regards to what Kevin did and said, and for all of Cornette's faults he's not as controlling and micromanaging as modern WWE is.
I hope in time he can either find a solution to the problem in the WWE and remind people what he's capable of, or finds a way back to his old running mates that are booking AEW these days.

Owens is far from unfixable.
I’d be more worried about Miz if Shane beats him again

His booking since going babyface has been brutal, I'm not even sure The Rock in his prime could have stayed over being booked like that, and he was damn near bulletproof to shitty booking.

He’s getting paid well so I don’t think he regrets signing at all. Jon. Moxley. I doubt he’s as distraught about his time in the WWE as Moxley was, unless something was posted somewhere that I’m not aware of.

So we have no idea and he could feel perfectly fine about his job. Or he could be utterly miserable. We just don’t know, and all we’ve got to guess how he feels is his on-screen booking, which can be a bit of a lottery.

He’s not pulling a Sasha. Sitting home, refusing to work and liking tweets that bash the WWE. I’d say he’s fine until there’s actually a real reason to think otherwise.

It's amazing how much more interesting Fighting Family Man Kevin Owens would and could have been as a face. So many easy stories and ready-made feuds: -vs. Bobby Lashley for putting him on the shelf -vs. Brock "I don't give a shit about your kids!" Lesnar -vs. Samoa Joe, who has threatened the families of AJ and Rey -vs. Bray, an evil children's show host
All of those are feuds or at least matches I'd want to see that you could have kept him busy with months to refresh his character, while staying loosely-affiliated with New Day before turning him heel again by having him feel left out by them or something like that.

I doubt he’s as distraught about his time in the WWE as Moxley was, unless something was posted somewhere that I’m not aware of. Literally this is what the thread is about. Him being miserable. Or, are people who are paid well never unhappy? No famous people ever get depressed about their situation? People in a bad job should shut up if theyre paid well? No entertainers are ever miserable even though they are rich? If he has a love or passion for wrestling, being on the WWE main roster can be a miserable life.

Sounds like the thread is about speculation to me. Unless Owens actually makes some kind of public complaint in some form or another no one knows how he feels. I’d rather not project negative energy onto him but have at it if that’s what you gotta do.

Turning him heel was completely unnecessary. He was fresh off an injury, his family man shtick looked interesting. The fans didn't want a turn, he didn't seem to want a turn.
