It's often been said that the WWE office like Miz because he's reliable, hard working and great at doing media stuff. They can send him to do a radio interview to promote WWE and he'll be charming and funny and it'll make WWE look good.
So what the hell is going on with his recent booking? It's like he's being punished for something.
He is beaten down or humilated every single show every single week. He's won two matches since Shane turned on him in March and one of those was against Elias last week on Smackdown which was quickly followed by him getting squashed by Mcintyre and then tapping out to Shanes terrible triangle choke. His 3rd straight loss to Shane Mcmahon. Even when he manages a rare win they immediately book him to lose two matches in a row!
I know that they're trying to put heat onto Shane and Mcintyre so that Roman can eventually defeat them but man it's making Miz look like total shit.
And it's a shame because I've never been a huge fan of Miz but he was very over after his babyface turn and he can cut a great babyface promo. It feels like they're intentionally trying to cool him off.

Like anyone not named Reigns or Rollins, they got bored with him, and shuffled him down the card.

I think Shane was in Vince's office wearing a Donald Duckesque sailor costume complete with hat sucking on a big ass swirly lollipop when he said
"Daddy I want to be best in the world and I want The Miz to always lose to me, if you love me you'll do it"
"I don't, but I also don't like the Miz so okay!"

That’s right Miz is a great hand and an asset to the company with PR and interviews and being charamastic and they can kinda push him and then focus on their next priority and Miz will continue to do all those PR appearances and be a good spokesmen for the company.
Rinse and repeat. Then. Now. Forever.

He’s miscast as a babyface. He’s helping get others over which is what he did as a heel. We just expect babyfaces to actually win because it’s sensible wrestling.

As great as Kofi’s climb to the top turned to be, who else would have still preferred see Daniel Bryan go over Miz to win the title at the last WM?

Rinse and repeat. Then. Now. Forever. He's another Dolph. He has a very secure spot that pays very well. Will never leave because he was such a fan of WWE growing up.

They have done an awful job of booking him as a face as it feels like he's lost to McIntyre at least 6 times in the last month. Also him not getting his win back on Shane is ridiculous. I think it just has more to do with them not knowing how to book faces and them wanting to book Shane/Mcintyre strong before they lose to Roman more then him having heat or anything like that.
If your a midcard face in today's WWE your going to get booked like crap because it seems like they don't understand that midcard faces can be booked strong and be key members of the show but for some reason they just think the only purpose they have is to get jobbed out over and over and fed to heels just to fatten them up before they get fed to Roman Reigns. They should book faces like they did in the 80's and early 90's. On top you had guys like Hogan and Warrior but in the midcard you had had your Jake's and Duggan's and Beefcake's and Boss Man's who while beatable were still very well protected and were all super over as a result. They would also give those guys their own storylines in the midcard instead of devaluing them by just jobbing them repeatedly to whoever Hogan's next opponent was going to be. I know it's a different TV format but it's still super avoidable. Like why not have someone like Apollo Crews or Tyler Breeze get destroyed by McIntyre instead? Gets some different guys on the show and doesn't hurt freshly face turned Miz's value and momentum by having him get beat every single week.

He a face and this is how they book faces not named Roman Reigns. As others have said Miz is best as a heel but because he was an entertaining heel the fans cheered him so they decided to make him a face to put over the future of the company Shane Mcmahon.Last fall as a heel people were talking about him as the next wwe champion and now he’s a bitch that’s not how it’s supposed to work.

As great as Kofi’s climb to the top turned to be, who else would have still preferred see Daniel Bryan go over Miz to win the title at the last WM? Bryan was dying a death as a face last summer & fall feuding with heel Miz(who was getting cheered over bryan)and the heel turn revitalized him.6 more months of face Bryan leading to a Mania title match in a feud that was already long in the tooth would have been a bathroom break match and wouldn’t have gotten 1/10th the reaction or excitement the Kofi stuff did.

No. I think they actually think this is getting Miz and Shane more over.
Miz is a babyface and he actually got fan support, so bury him to make people cheer. The Daniel Bryan method, which has broken WWE booking on a fundamental level for five or six years now.

Miz is not a particularly good face but at the same time his heel shtick wore out its welcome years ago as it never changes much.

It feels like they're intentionally trying to cool him off. So they can turn him back heel again when the face thing dries up in the eyes of the fans as is usually the case when he is a face?
