Never was a big Bella fan by any means but even I'll admit Nikki did end up becoming a pretty good worker during her last few years working full time in 2015-16. Sucks to that she had to retire but she's also 35 and had a really good career that she can look back on proudly. The whole brain cyst thing sounds very concerning though. Not a doctor so I don't know how serious it is but that doesn't sound good at all.

Always thought Nikki was vastly overrated as a wrestler but she was never Eva Marie levels of awful or anything. Plus she's extremely attractive and is by all accounts very kind to fans, which are always pluses in my book. Hope her injuries clear up and she gets to live a pain-free, normal life.

THANK YOU NIKKI (CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP) Agree 100%. I will miss her and her definitely NOT PG ring gear. One of, if not THE most beautiful women in WWE history. Really became a fan once she got highlights in her hair and different ring gear from Brie. I swear for all the years prior to that I never knew which was which.

Cyst on the brain sounds really bad.
Hope she’s ok.

Honestly, I was becoming a fan of hers in the later years of her career. Yeah the storylines would mostly be ass, but she was focused on becoming better in the ring and it showed. Her moves became a lot more crisp and had a believable finish. Sucks that she is forced to step away, the divisions could use more credible bodies (heh). My hats off Nikkisawa, may your forearm be always feared. She's someone who came around too early. If she'd had the benefit of a proper developmental system, she would have reached a much higher potential.

I'm all ready to post something, then I see this, and remember that nickname lol. I truly hope for the best, for her. Sorry for her injuries, and sorry, yet thankful, that a doctor did find that cyst on her brain. Had she not known of it, it could've been much worse. I have my own brain issues, and some days can't read something out loud, even though I can read it in my head, and today, I was having trouble speaking at work, to the point I spelled my name wrong, on a customer's survey. Now, they know to keep an eye on that, with me. I hope and pray that she never deals with that, from her brain.

I wonder what would have happened if they let the Diva Search era women actually train... or if they had the NXT system to work under. Like how much better they'd have been.

Never was a fan, but a cyst on the brain sounds terrifying. Good on her from walking away before further damage was caused.

I think we can probably call it "Nikki Bella Syndrome" at this point where a woman is above average in the ring but pushed like she's the best of her generation, to the point people get utterly turned off by the thought of her even getting near a title again (Charlotte Flair, I am looking in your general direction)

It's makes things boring and stale and on top of it is totally unnecessary especially with them having tag titles now. Like it seriously won't be the end of the world if Charlotte or Alexa aren't in a title match for every PPV. Why not put Charlotte in a top tag team or put Alexa in a non title feud with someone like Ember Moon? Would elevate different people and give them the rub and make it more fresh when Charlotte and Alexa eventually get put back in the title picture. At least with Nikki they eventually kind of did that during her face run on Smackdown where she had non title programs with Carmella and Natalya. Both were good and in Carmella's case did a nice job of elevating her. Even that run though had favoritism involved with her being the captain of the Smackdown Survivor Series team (the only captain to not be a champion in the three elimination matches that year) over Becky even though Becky was the champion at the time. With that said though I see your point how nauseating mega pushes can make fans make ridiculous false statements about someone's talent. I've seen people on other boards say that Charlotte is average in the ring and isn't that talented or whatever. I can understand not being a fan of her or thinking she's overpushed but statements like that are just clearly not true.

All the more reason that I would have preferred the Women's Tag Titles to debut at Evolution instead of Elimination Chamber. The Bellas really should have been in the first match for them. Nothing against the Ronda vs Nikki match that happened, but it isn't a matchup that interested me on paper.

It's almost like that damn diving headbutt. You almost didn't need to see what would happen to the likes of Chris Benoit, Dynamite Kid, Bam Bam Bigelow & Daniel Bryan to know that wouldn't be the smartest thing to do repeatedly to a head. I mean at least in theory you can catch yourself like a regular splash in the diving headbutt... There's no way around like 100 pounds dropping on your neck at least like 6 times a week... not to mention what it must have been doing to her knees. Abyss did that move for years and years with seemingly no neck issues, but he always landed on his ass, which probably reduced the amount of impact on his neck (as the opponent was probably taking all the impact on the mat). Executing the Shock Treatment/Rack Attack like Nikki did absolutely destroyed her neck.

The third Bella twin, Sonya Deville, will carry on Nikki's legacy and make her proud.
