Ooooo, tough one. I loved the movie back when it opened, but have cooled on Jordan and it’s tough given the marquee song in the movie is sung by a child molester. Yeah, dunno if the Looney Tunes can bring this one back.

Pick a bunch of 80s sword'n'sorcery movies... Conan, Sword and The Sorcerer, Krull, Gor, Sorceress, Beastmaster, Masters of the Universe, etc. Never fails to pick me up from a bad mood. Oooo, good picks! Would you count Willow in among those movies too or is that more fantasy? Sure, why not?

Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead. Last movie I watched before I walked out of my father’s house for the last time. Long story, not a good one or a good memory. Think it’s a pass, though not the movie’s fault.

Like 90s Anime? Fatal Fury 2: The New Battle and Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture. Aside from Robotech and Battle of the Planets, I’m shameful on my amount of anime watching. Not even Akira or Vampire Hunter D. So... yeah.

Vincennes being cool as shit even while dying set it all in motion. Fun fact: Johnny Stompanato (Lana Turner's mobster boyfriend who later killed by her daughter) was from my hometown.

I have to be in the mood to watch black and white movies. I guess I’ve been spoiled by color or something so I haven’t seen as many of the classics as I’d like. The last time I was really sick I decided to kick back and catch up on some that I’d never seen. I’m very rarely sick so when I am it’s pretty bad. I figured that I was so sick that nothing was going to improve my mood anyway. Casablanca was up first. It was so hyped up that I thought I would never like it. I was so wrong. It’s great. Well deserving of its classic status. Up next was The Apartment. It’s a really good little comedy with a lot of familiar faces. Lastly was The Maltese Falcon. Also very good. I’ve watched all three multiple times since and I don’t usually rewatch a lot of movies.

Anything by screenwriter Max Landis. Ironically, Twilight Zone: The Movie is on my to get list on Amazon as well as 80s Twilight Zone. Guess I’m a hypocrite, but Max should thank his stars he’s not young and Vietnamese or his dad would have dropped a helicopter on him already. If you don’t already have it I’d recommend Tales from the Darkside since you’re interested in 80s Twilight Zone. I think it’s still less than $30 for all 90 episodes on DVD on Amazon. Maybe cheaper if you look elsewhere. As I’ve mentioned in some other threads some episodes are just so delightfully...well dark.
