1) Repackage character. 2) Completely forget about character. 3) Send character out a month later to wrestle to crickets. 4) It's good shit. I know that there are tons of guys who fit this criteria, but I immediately thought of Mojo Rawley and his mirror vignettes.

He doesn't even have the moustache anymore does he?
Probably thought well it's not gotten me a push, I'm still doing absolutely nothing, so no chance am I walking around with a f***ing moustache.

Appears with new moustache and “new” name, beats Ricochet, loses to Ricochet...has he been seen since? Yes he's one of the superstars that has been competing for 24/7 title. In fact he won the title at one point.

Roode is 42, and hasn't set the world on fire in the ring since he got called up. Being called up as a babyface probably hurt him more than anything.
I used to think he was the most WWE wrestler in TNA. Now he's the most TNA wrestler in WWE.

Why would anyone expect any different? The WWE simply doesn't push anyone consistently other than the same four or five people. And three of those five people are Shane McMahon, Drew McIntyre, and Baron Corbin Send Help

I believe he appeared on Raw a little before the Saudi show and cut a standard "you people" promo. There was no attempt at character building to be had or reference to what he's been doing the past few months--just the typical stuff every heel spouts but with blue crayon on his face.

Roode vs Rollins would be a good fresh main event feud. Not sure why they’re using him so badly. Or why he’s ditched the mustache already. well I mean "has a mustache" is a pretty terrible gimmick. But, damn, what a mustache it was. Like, Magnum T.A. tier.

I don’t know if they think he’s just too old but Roode is a great hand and I’m pretty surprised he never got a decent push. Especially as a heel. He had a pretty decent run as TNA Champion so it’s a shame to see him just doing nothing.

Isn't this the guy they wanted so badly because they thought he'd be a big star for them?

That was a GREAT mustache. I believe they were trying to illicit Rick Rude memories with that one, even going with his York Foundation-esque "Robert" Roode name. In reality, he was cosplaying Silas Young's "Last Real Man" gimmick, but without the edge.

He defeated Cedric Alexander on this week's Main Event, which was a good match.

Should have been the hot shot or enforcer in a faction, with a flashier and more charismatic tag partner, and a manager.
