When I try to do a Tyler The Creator voice, it comes out sounding a little too close to my Bob Hoskins. They both have a gravelly tone and it’s tough to separate them occasionally.
I find it’s easier if I can recognize a particular part of someone’s inflection. I can make my Rey Mysterio and Shawn Michaels voices stand out because I know I’m using an “eeehh” and “uuurr” tone for them respectively.

Tyler the Creator's going to play Smee? Tyler doesn’t have time to deal with flying kids. A toon dropped a piano on his brother’s head, but he’s still going to help the rabbit.

At least you can do more than one voice. I have a friend that is only capable of what we call "the roleplaying voice" which is a gruffer version of his regular voice trying to be vaguely British but failing because of his incredibly strong natural Long Island accent.
