Nothing from the WWF or JCP for May 18th, 1988. It took some considerable digging before I found a show from the CWA on that date, that took place in Evansville, Indiana:
Doug Gilbert defeats Todd Morton Gary Young defeats Tom Brandi Billy Travis vs. Tommy Gilbert - Draw Doug Gilbert, Gary Young & Tommy Gilbert defeat Billy Travis, Todd Morton & Tom Brandi Curt Hennig defeats Scott Steiner Jeff Jarrett vs. Robert Fuller - No Contest AWA World Heavyweight Title Match - Jerry Lawler (c) defeats Bill Dundee
Curt Hennig against a young Scott Steiner sounds like a hell of a match, honestly.

Also, weird that they send Hulk Hogan to a nothing show in the midwest instead of a major market like San Francisco. Peoria does carry some sway in events, I mean it's no Chicago or anything, but there is the old "If it plays in Peoria, it'll play anywhere" slogan, which originated in vaudeville, so I can get that being tempting towards promoters.

Ware defeated Butch Reed Brutus Beefcake defeated Greg Valentine The Islanders defeated Davey Boy Smith & the Dynamite Kid via disqualification when Smith & Dynamite began whipping their opponents with a dog leash Dino Bravo pinned Ken Patera Hulk Hogan & Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Andre the Giant & Ted Dibiase
WWF @ Manchester, NH - JFK Coliseum - March 14, 1988 Steve Lombardi defeated SD Jones Jacques & Raymond Rougeau defeated the Conquistadors Dino Bravo defeated Koko B. Ware The Iron Sheik defeated Brady Boone Danny Spivey defeated Sam Houston King Harley Race defeated Outback Jack The Ultimate Warrior & Don Muraco defeated Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart Brutus Beefcake defeated Greg Valentine in a steel cage match I have no idea what the travel for this day must have looked like. Insane schedule.
Man, if those dates are correct then the logistics on this must be insane. Beefcake and Valentine worked both the Quebec and New Hampshire shows, which is about a four hour drive. Doable, but brutal. On the other hand you have Warrior and Harley Race working shows in both New Mexico and New Hampshire. The only way I can think of them pulling that off is with a private jet. Would the WWF in March 1988 really think those two were worth a private jet?
