Proof he couldn't sing to save his ass Kurt would probably agree with you, but so what? To me he was overrated. Horrible singer, ok guitar player average song writer

Kurt would probably agree with you, but so what? To me he was overrated. Horrible singer, ok guitar player average song writer An artist is a summation of all of those things and more. The strength of his voice wasn't in the notes he sang, but the emotion that he exuded. That was what set him and Layne Staley apart from other singers in their genre. I doubt either of them could out-sing Chris Cornell if you were actively choking Chris while he was singing, but they both emoted so well that it did not matter.

I'm not a fan of anything he did, so I'm based. Staley I liked much better

I mean I personally believe that Grohl is better than Kurt in every single way. But there’s a reason why Kurt and Nirvana were the top band of their time over counterparts Pearl Jam and Soundgarden.

I always thought this was their best record until I heard Live at Reading recently. They're each basically perfect.

Kurt's performance was perhaps the second most emotionally affecting episode of MTV Unplugged, behind the obvious one of course: {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}
