It’s partly a product of WWE’s face-heavy booking this year. Except for four minutes during MITB, all four top champs since Mania have been strongly booked smark-endorsed faces. WWE needs a better balance and it’s heels to feel like threats.

Imagine if in 2007 or whenever it was, they decided to push mad biker Chuck Palumbo into a top main event heel position. That's what Baron Corbin feels like to me.
It's hard to get people to give a shit about any 'hero' when the villains are total dog water.

If your going to be a Heel, The Freebirds in World Class or Dibiase in Mid South using the loaded glove on JYD should be required viewing for anyone to understand how to get the crowd to hate you.

All the heels are too likable. That’s the problem. Aside from Corbin and maybe McIntyre. Who nobody even wants to boo, they just want them to go away. Look at the heels... you’ve got Elias, Bryan, Shane, Cesaro, Owens, Ziggler. Zayn... I don’t know about you guys but most of them are cheerable. Owens could be a good sadistic heel if they played up how desperate he is to keep the title... but they never stick with him. I feel he could be the best heel in the company if they just booked him right. Owens can be the best heel OR the best face in the company. They have used him so poorly for so long that people have almost forgotten just how god damn good Owens is. Heel, face, no matter which side of the fence he's on, Owens can be your top guy. They've just neutered him so badly, it's almost shocking to go back and see how f***ing good he was back in PWG and RoH. Same goes for Sami Zayn, for that matter. He had all the makings of being the biggest star to ever come out of NXT to the main roster, and they have completely squandered him. He's definitely better as a face, but his early work as an obnoxious heel was pretty damn good, and could have gotten better if they allowed anything to happen naturally ever. It f***ing kills me because those guys are two of my all-time favorites, and they're visibly miserable in a company that I won't even watch anymore.

Daniel Bryan is a tag team champion. BARON CORBIN AND DOLPH ZIGGLER ARE THE TWO TOP CONTENDERS FOR THE WORLD TITLES!!!!!!!!... It suddenly makes sense why this company is doing so bad

It's kind of crazy that a few years ago I checked out an Impact show headlined by Galloway vs. Lashley, and while I heard that Galloway's TNA run wasn't the greatest thing in the world, they still did a solid job of making it feel like a really big title match, and then it was a pretty good match in and of itself. Fast forward, and people can't wait for these guys to be off TV in WWE. Strange world. I remember when it was announced they were coming to WWE there was a ton of hype. It sounded like these guys had really figured things out and were super hot prospects. Even the NXT run for Drew was well recieved. Then they hit the main roster and Drew went from being a surefire future world champ to some guy and Lashley almost immediately was relegated to not much.
They need to dial back on Shane and give others screentime. Also, as much as we hate 50/50 booking, the heels in some cases should win, especially if you want them at the top of the card. Becky and Bayley as fighting champs are good to have right now, though you need to switch up their challengers more (Becky especially since it feels like Lacey has been feuding with her forever). Seth could stand to lose the belt to a heel right now like Joe or a refocused Owens. It'd balance the scales a bit.
Owens in his prizefighter, vicious, only out for himself persona was money. He and Zayn should have a moment where they basically realize that they need to do their own thing instead of palling around and helping the other heels, part amicably and then have Owens get back to what got him so over. I haven't really been into Zayn's promos since he came back but I'm sure they could use him better.
Drew needs to wreck somebody of note and probably should have gone over Reigns tonight.
They are trying so hard with Corbin but they need to dial back a bit on his appearances and move someone else into his slot for a while.
Lesnar can go live in the forest forever for all I care.

I love them so much, but like Samoa Joe, are the biggest losers in the whole company.
