I don’t think so, the stuff with him and Becky is awful.

Rollins was a superstar Everybody thought he'd go real far But he never learned a thing from the title he took The Crowd wasn't interested in how he's booked Becky was the smartest girl they knew She was very popular, she was very cool The two of them were chosen from Earth To go to school at Wrestling High

errmmmmm... no
I love Rollins. I think he was more of a star as a heel but also when he wrestled HHH at wrestlemania I was convinced that he was a superstar. Wrestling Baron Corbin right out of the gate with his universal title run is not doing him any favors. He is an indie king. He needs more feuds with high caliber wrestlers. Maybe a feud with Cena? Maybe wrestle the Rock? Idk.

I think he's *A* star, but he isn't a "put him on TV and it magically fixes shit" band-aid. They have bigger problems than him, and he alone isn't big enough to pull them out of the hole. I don't think anyone is.

Man, I was in Seth's corner for such a long time.
Then he started whining with Jimmy Jacobs about "but writing five hours of TV is haaaard" as an excuse for WWE being shitty.
And then yesterday's, "Best damn pro wrestling. Period."
And now, until WWE improves, Seth is a tool.

He's what passes for a star in the WWE - A forcefully pushed babyface with no discernible character. The guy is so blatantly a JAG, but the WWE isn't prepared to push any of the people they have with actual star quality.

A fantastic wrestler who’s lame as hell, does paint by the numbers generic face promos and is a complete uninteresting dork.
No, he’s not

Yeah he is. For sure.
The issue isn't with him but it's where he is. If he'd instantly be in another company for example you'd see his star level far more than it is now. Basically it's like eating a banana split in a bathroom. It's still a banana split but the location matters.

I'm not sure. I can't remember a Rollins promo that's taken my notice. I always thought Ambrose/Moxley was a potentially bigger star than him while they were in The Shield and he still is. But I guess you have to take into consideration that he's being given a lot of crap to work with.

I hate to say it but Rollins has now tanked ratings as a heel in 2015 and as a face in 2019. I didn't blame him for the 2015 fiasco where he was The Authority's chosen one (re: whipping boy) because he was booked terribly. Truth be told I don't think any of the Shield guys are really mega stars on their own. We'll see with Moxley in AEW and NJPW.

When's the last time he had a truly great big singles match? For all the hype and praise we foist on him, I feel like nine times out of 10, the general reaction to his pay-per-view matches is "wow, that was disappointing." He's clearly a competent hand in the ring, but nothing about his matches have been truly memorable in quite some time.
I honestly think I might have to go back to his match against Finn Balor on the go-home Raw before WrestleMania 34 as the last singles match he had where I was truly wowed. Everything since then has been kind of bland (his matches with Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler last summer) to outright bad (his TLC match against Dean Ambrose last December).

He's very much a Bret Hart/Diesel style star. He's on top during a down period. It is not entirely his fault and given a hotter product, he could be a huge star.

Like, I'm sure the ratings would be a bit better, but the fundamental problems would still be there. I think Rollins is someone who works as a major player, but I have my doubts he is properly dynamic to be the big, top face of a brand. Even still, though, I think he's a star and that no one could carry the mess they're in, as evidenced by even Becky having her difficulties with it. She's probably a bigger star than he is in some ways, but she, too, is doing her best to mold shit like it was clay into something resembling passable TV.
