Anyone know what happened to UW contract with WCW? Apparently he signed a 36 show deal that was 7 figures (not sure if that was appearance or wrestling) but he arrived in August and was gone by November.. did they just pay him off?

After the match with Hogan, I’d also pay him to just go home and never wrestle again.

I remember his old diary on his website and how he said he tore his bicep or something and was doing several hours a day of rehab with resistance bands

I think he made two more post matches appearances than quietly just vanished. Funny for that period of time he was there. He worked one full match. Was in War Games to just run off Hogan. Teamed with Sting against Hart and Hogan but hardly did anything (Didn't even take his jacket off, lol)and that match with Hogan.

After he got hurt I am guessing they just paid him to stay home and didn't notice or care.

He was actually given an extension on his contract to get him to do the job to Hogan, believe it or not. But yes, he was paid to sit home for the rest of it. He was still under contract when Russo came in and Vince, in one of his few good ideas with the company, inquired about bringing him back for a one-off so he could eat a spear and a Jackhammer, but that apparently didn't go anywhere.

It's honestly amazing the amount of money that WCW wasted on guys. Tank Abbott earned $600,000 in 2000 doing almost nothing.

Absolutley crazy that they kept wasting money like this, no wonder the place went the way it did. Crazy you pay someone to 7 figures and he only appeared 14 times, only 3 of which were actual matches.

Warrior was working injured for the match where he tagged with Sting and didn't take his coat off.
The injury occurred during the cage match where he chased away Hogan.
Not using him after Halloween Havoc was pants.

After the match with Hogan, I’d also pay him to just go home and never wrestle again. But in fairness you would have done that to Hogan too. The worst flaming spot was the Hulkster’s.
