The hard camera angle has been in use since the 1950s and is almost essential to the presentation of pro wrestling on TV. It is also universal; no matter which promotion or time period, there has always been a hard camera positioned to one side of the ring which is usually intended to show the entire ring's width from that side. The complaints about the camera work, when they come, are almost exclusively with the handheld cameras and how they're used (or misused.) This. I edit shows, we'd be f***ed without the hard cam.
