While we've seen a lot of bad ppv titles (notably stomping ground), what are some GOOD PPV names? Of course, a lot of the "legacy" ppv names work (Wrestlemania, Royal Rumble, Great American Bash, etc) are up there. Ignoring the quality of the show, I always thought December to Dismember was a cool name.

I know it's still sort of a "legacy" brand, but damn does King Of The Ring still sound good to say. It would roll off the tongue of anyone in any arena in the world. Also, Bragging Rights. Sounds good, both the name and even the concept. WWE unfortunately made the giant mistake of trying to make it work way too close to the Survivor Series PPV. In theory, Bragging Rights could work if they were to put it nowhere near SvS on the yearly calendar, and BR could be the "THE ONE NIGHT OF THE YEAR WHERE IT'S RAW VERSUS SMACKDOWN" event (where Survivor Series is free to be something else other than that.)

Take your pick of any of the names from WWF 2000. No Way Out, Backlash, Judgement Day, Fully Loaded, Unforgiven, No Mercy, Armageddon. All great

Backlash works great as a 'reaction' to Mania's feuds.

I always thought Fall Brawl was a fun title for a PPV. They used it for a Clash of the Champions show title before it became its own PPV years later.

I like a lot of WCW ones, particularly Halloween Havoc, Uncensored and World War 3 (okay, it didn't make sense for every year to be WW3 but it sounds cool).
Also a fan of Against All Odds, No Surrender and Bound for Glory from TNA, and November to Remember and Barely Legal from ECW.

If iPPVs count, Chikara had some good ones: High Noon, Chikarasaurus Rex: How To Hatch A Dinosaur, Under The Hood, You Only Live Twice and Tomorrow Never Dies were all cool names.

I thought ECW had really cool and unique names. The Dr. Is In, for Dr. Death's debut. This Ain't Seinfeld, The Night The Line Was Crossed. Now that I think about it early ROH kept that tradition going. Night of the Butcher, Manhattan Mayhem, Testing the Limit. I'm all for anything different and unique.
Technically none of these were pay-per-views but they were major shows with cool unique names.

I enjoy Slammiversary and Lockdown as far as TNA PPV's go.
Cold Day in Hell is a cool name I'm surprised WWF never brought back again.
Also, I would never ever want them to bring this name back, but objectively speaking, Over The Edge was a great name for a PPV.
I really enjoy all of the WWF/E names that they used from 1999 to like 2009. But alot of that might just be nostalgia. Then they started using lame names like Payback, Roadblock, Fatal 4 Way, etc.(I'll never knock Great Balls of Fire, I unironically love that name)
Oddly enough, I can't think of any WCW titles that I really enjoy much. Maybe Superbrawl.
To me, the greatest of all time is Wrestlemania. Would it be the same if it didn't have such a fitting name?

The last two were James Bond movies but they were still cool names. Every Chikara show is a reference, it is the appeal. edit: I should say I abosolutely hate the dumb portmanteau naming scheme that everyone seems to be calling classic, but King of the Ring works wonderfully when paired with the premise, as does Lockdown, Backlash and the original Roadblock. Honorable mention of No Way Out as a solid name when paired with Elimination Chamber match. Your Fall Brawls, your Clash of the Champions, your Bashes (both American and @ The Beach) all stand on their own as generic references to either the date or the location, which makes them work.
