Whiteside to Portland for Harkless & Leonard. Building a solid bench for Butler, albeit not a spectacular one.
EDIT: Also, this is probably best for Whiteside's health. Jimmy would've had him begging for death.

Heat traded an expiring deal for two guys I think have 2 years on their deals but it cleared a ton of cap which should finish the Butler deal Whitside for Leonard and Harkless is a fair deal since Whiteside was a very expensive bench player for them since the emergence of Bam Bam |

Considering they have had essentially a 6 year run at the top thus far, they could get a 10 year run before it all comes crashing down Sort of surprising they are trading these first round picks tho but i'm guessing they will try to get some value when trading D'Lo at some point |

As far as forward thinking, they would be a nice spot for 2020 free agency, which is Draymond Green and the island of misfits toys. Lakers finally make a move - signing Troy Daniels. |

Uncle Dennis wanted Kawhi to go to the Lakers back when Kawhi started getting heat with the Spurs. Once deals came around, Popovich and RC Burford sent Kawhi to Toronto, possibly to spite the Lakers, but now Uncle Dennis is back in the helm of Kawhi's career... I mean, you wouldn't go against family, would you? |

If I was in Kawhi's place I'd stay. He's the undisputed biggest fish in a very big pond. Dude more or less owns an entire First World Country. In New York or LA he wouldn't even own the city, possibly not even the team. Plus he'd have to put up with LA/NY shit. Dude probably has zero pressure in Toronto for the foreseeable future.

Knicks sign Elfrid Payton to a 2 year deal for $16 million
Portis, Gibson, Bullock, Ellington deals all include team options for the 2nd year and Randle contract for the 3rd year is a team option
All in all they did well enough and their seems to be some type of vision in this bullshit
