If LeBron or AD get hurt (btw, a reminder that LeBron turns 35 this season and is coming off his first major injury and AD has literally never been healthy for a full season) shit is gonna get dire for the Lakers REAL fast.

Westbrook is gonna average 70/4/25 Is there any chance they trade him? I mean now would be the perfect time to tank.

To go from โOh boy weโre getting Kawhiโ to Danny Green, JaVale, and KCP has to be like waking up on the worst Christmas ever. Couldnโt happen to a better franchise.

Magic and Wolves asking about Russ would be my guess. Neither of those teams really have the assets I'd look at teams with draft picks and at least a tradeable young guy I think the Magic could probably put together a package with assets like Isaac, Gordon, Bamba, Okeke, future draft picks, and Fultz (if the Thunder look to rebuild they might like to take the gamble the Magic are taking with him now). The issue I have and the reason I'm against trading for Westbrook is I don't think we could put together a package that is both good enough and leaves us with a team good enough where bringing in Westbrook makes sense.

No team with Westbrook will ever be a winner. Heโs going to TANK as the lone-wolf if he doesnโt get moved.

LeBron drinks the blood of the young to stay in tip-top shape, and sleeps in an oxygen tent which he believes gives him sexual powers. He'll get more rest, but I don't think you can expect him to miss as much time next year.

It came down to Clippers and Raptors, since both were aware and were competing to trade for Paul George. Lakers werenโt really in the mix at all from the sound of it.
The crazy thing is Toronto apparently had a deal that included Siakam/picks for BOTH George & Westbrook. Masai didnโt go that route, and LAC were willing to give up everything to grab PG.

All of those draft picks are insane but 2 of the draft picks aren't even there's. Honestly even with the draft pick haul I think the Clippers made out better than the Lakers did in the AD trade because they didnt have to gut the team. Plus the Gm/coach combo with the cluos is 10 times better than the Lakers
It's easy to say now but the Laker noise never made sense to me. All season it was. Ade known Kawhi didnt like the idea of playing with LeBron. Then cause they got AD he was all in? It seemed like the Lakers had so many leaks too and we know Kawhi wasnt a fan of that

f*** the Clippers.
That being said George has gotta be fuming that he chose OKC instead of the Lakers.

He was not really thrilled with the idea of playing with LeBron Yeah but if you remember a year ago, he was happy and thrilled of staying in OKC during the party Westbrook gave him, now heโs getting traded without a notice, thatโs got to sting.

On another note I am curious to see if Celtic fans wish Danny Ainge would make a trade like the Clippers did.

Does Westbrook have a NTC? Also, this is exactly why I'm stopping listening to Stephen A Smith about NBA insider stuff and why I never listened to Chris Broussard. Both these guys made it out like Kawhi going to the Lakers was a done deal. And while I love Stephen A personally, he needs new sources inside the NBA because they keep feeding him bad info. Broussard on the other hand is just a fool.

Stephen A for as entertaining as he is doesnt really have sources close Kawhi's camp. But either way, as I said earlier, just knowing Kawhi the Lakers never made sense

Man, the NBA is WIDE open. This is nuts. Iโm so excited for next season. The โNBA needs parityโ crowd definitely got it. It will be fascinating to see how it translates to the product and ratings.

PG got his max deal, and now gets to go home and play with arguably the best player in the world. Iโm sure heโs happy.
Plus it was clear OKC wasnโt winning anything. I think itโs time to blow it up and rebuild. Westbrook might be the second star Miami is looking for, especially if they canโt pull Beal from the Wizards.

Man the morale would be so low it would be a motherf***er to play there.
