After the last couple days of sports radio and TV I have one prevailing NBA Opinion: The defending NBA champs rarely making the conversation on "Who's winning it this year" despite being one of the best teams in the NBA and a #2 seed is both sad and hilarious. I hope they repeat. They have the talent. The Heat and Raptors given how many guys who were undrafted or 2nd rounders who are a huge part of their teams and made their way through developmental league would make a great feelgood story if they win the Title.

Really good Bucks/Heat game coming down to the wire. Also: Phoenix won again!! The bubble is total chaos. Suns and Spurs are unstoppable, TJ Warren is Trae Young. Up is down, left is right, Bol is Bol.

Vlade gonna super max Bogdan after this game. ๐คฎ๐คฎ๐คฎ Sad thing? I actually see that max coming. Heโs going to get just as much or more than Buddy Hield, and together theyโll make the most inconsistent overpaid overrated guard tandem in the league.

And weโll continue with the โNext years Bagleyโs year for sure!โ after he misses 50 more games, and also โDEFOX GETS NO RESPECTโ even though heโs nowhere near star-level. I love Sacramento.

So I think the 8 seed play in game is going to be Blazers vs either the Spurs or Pelicans. The Blazers are just on a damn roll and the rest of their schedule is pretty manageable. They've got the Wizards and the Simmons-less Sixers, which I think are both wins. They've got the Mavs and Clippers, and I think those teams might start resting guys, especially if they think the Lakers having to deal with the Blazers in the first round benefits them long term (it does.)
The Grizzlies and Suns remaining schedule is f***ing BRUTAL. I can honestly see the Grizz losing out the rest of the bubble, especially now that JJJ is hurt. The Suns are on a roll and could pull it off, but I think 2-2 is their best case.
The Pelicans have the easiest remaining schedule but they've just looked shaky. The Spurs have performed above expectations and have a Utah team missing a bunch of guys tomorrow, and...New Orleans Sunday. I think that Spurs/Pelicans game Sunday is going to be massive and basically decide the play-in ultimately.

Gotta give the Nets credit,7 dudes on the IR including maybe 4 of their 6 best players, then new signing Jamal Crawford gets injured after 1 game and they still have won 2 games in the bubble. Can't imagine they will give the Raptors much trouble in the playoffs, but you know they will go out fighting.

Ben Simmons is probably done for the year. More time to practice not taking 3s.

On a serious note tho, Philly went from a bright future to uncertain future Both Embiid and Simmons are injury prone and when they are on the court together they are not effective. Brand f***ed up by panicking and signing Horford to that deal They seriously have to consider moving either Simmons or Embiid but with both guys injuries you might be selling low on the dollar. Embiid would draw more tho. Miami I think is first spot i'm looking. I automatically want Bam and Herro tho no doubt Miami going play hardball with that

He was always a guy that can get you a sneaky 20 but he is a walking bucket right now and is efficient doing it 39 on 15/22 shooting, 5/8 from 3. 4 out of 5 games he's scored 30 or more.

Harris, Embiid, and Horford make a shit ton of money. Hard to deal Simmons for a stud player and bring on more salary. You could add Richardson, but it makes the deal harder. I think Simmons for LaVine qould be great for both teams, but again hard to work.

Simmons has too much limitations but I think if he got a change of scenery a new coach and system will unlock that potential he is wasting but if you ask me if Iโm going to build a team around him, right now itโs a no They canโt move Horford or Harris after overpaying them. Moving Richardson isnโt going to get you a difference maker. They had it right with the shooters but Brand panicked with Jimmy leaving and not wanting to pay Reddick
