Iowa State Diehard Fan here... seeing Matt Thomas finally gain some confidence in Toronto makes me so happy.
The dude had a shit pile of talent in college but you could tell his confidence was his Achilles heel. He should end up a solid shooter for a playoff team in the future if he's finally gotten that monkey off his back.

Sounds like the power may be shifting in Sacramento.
To Joe Dumars.... So instead of the jackass who chose Bagley over Luka, weβll have the jackass who took Darko over Wade and Melo and Bosh.
I guess thatβs better?

Yea, Harden numbers is only great in the regular season but people still act like he don't get respect and Brodie is a ball hog who would rather put up numbers then watch the team win CP3 is a disingenuous ass hole who will talk behind your back the min you aren't around but I can't deny his leadership and how he has shown he can do more with less. I like Billy Donovan. Steven Adams, Shai, Gallo etc on that team. A team that wasn't supposed to make the playoffs and yet competing hard everynight. Will take that over the tantrums of Brodie and Harden who can't keep a 2nd star past two seasons

Westbrook expected to miss first few games of playoffs Harden about to try put up 50 every night Harden setting scoring records while smiling and laughing about it during the postgame... while getting swept would be the most James Harden thing ever. The dude is an amazing talent during the low pressure normal season. He's still an amazing talent in the post season but it's obvious there's something "missing". And I don't mean a ring. I want to say it's him giving a shit about the team rather then just himself. I dunno. There's obviously something wrong but it's hard to put a finger on it. Reminds me of those Upper Midcard wrestlers who look great beating people every week but always shit the bed when going against the Champ when the title is on the line.

Harden is the quintessential "I got my numbers, I don't know what those other guys were doing" player. And it's more than just the defense, because AI was pretty terrible there but everyone knew he was trying to win. Harden is more like Melo. He's gonna play his game regardless, and if it doesn't get them anywhere that's cool too.

Like it hits the fourth quarter and most guys are like "I we do X/Y/Z we can win this!" And Harden is like "If I get 10 more points for an even 40 I'm gonna make it rain benjamins at The Lumber Yard"

Well Phoenix and Memphis are winning pretty decisively so looks like the Spurs historic playoff streak is coming to an end. What a run.

End of an era for the Spurs
Crazy stat. They only had a losing record in 197 of the possible 8,232 days since 1997 (excluding NBA shutdowns)

Weβve got a play-in: itβll be Memphis vs. Portland.
The Suns went 8-0 and miss it anyway...damn thatβs cold.

Portland was going to shit on themselves if Caris hit that shot

Iβd love to be optimistic and say this could be a foundation for the Suns to build on. But then I remember every other time thereβs been a bit of promise in the team and itβs been traded away.

Every time the Suns have looked very competent, it hasn't lasted long. I like Booker and Ayton, Bridges and Oubre are very solid. But they're just another team out West. I feel like a few years from now when Booker finally ends up elsewhere, this will be that question of if they could have made some noise if a couple buckets go different.

I think at the very least this kept him in Phoenix for another year due to this run and Draymond Green comments about him needing to leave Phoenix Minnesota is going to be watching him carefully tho. It is an a not so open secret that D'Lo, Booker and KAT said they want to play together. They still got all their draft capital past 2021 and the only two people getting paid on the team is D'Lo and KAT. In a perfect world they'd be able to sign someone but not Minnesota is not a hot spot destination
