The real dead zone of NBA season, the point after any meaningful regular season games but before the playoffs start to get good. Usually the 1st round is pretty one-sided so the play-in game really breaks up a lot of uninteresting basketball. I wouldn't mind if they kept it.

I'm mixed on it but I don't really mind it Advantage is still with the 8th seed that they only have to win one game and you only get a play in game if you are within 5 games of the 8th spot Would break up that last two weeks of the NBA slumber when most teams have locked up a playoff spot and just resting players.

Watch the Bulls do what the Knicks didn't and hire Atkinson and be a playoff team in 2 years.

I know I never post in here, but I kind of wished the Suns got in the playoffs after the run they had in the bubble. They likely would have got killed by the Lakers in the first round but momentum is a hell of a thing to have in sports so it might have been interesting to say the least.

Gentry was done when the Kings dropped 140 on them. For a team with Jrue who is a great defender and Lonzo and Favors who are decent defenders, they play total ass team defense. Granted, Lonzo is pretty famous for getting torched by Fox.

Good. I didnβt like him as a coach anyway. Felt like they wouldnβt go anywhere with him and they made the smart decision to dump him instead of acting like he was actually good
There is your job Kenny Atkinson

Watching Wenyen Gabriel and Gary Trent play important minutes for the Blazere, Iβm celebrating again that Vlade is in the unemployment line. There should be a parade in Sacramento.

If the Suns were 8-0 and still missed the playoffs then it seems pointless for them to have even been invited. Iβm sure the NBA was not expecting a four way tie in the loss column, but penalizing teams for not playing the same amount of games just looks bad. Itβs not like MLB where they are playing with fire and trying to get through 60 games as best they can, the NBA had time to plan this thoroughly. Ultimately the 8th seed was a battle to see who gets stomped by the Lakers, so not a big deal either way, but it was a flawed plan. There is something really nice about Silver doing this to get Zion in and it failing miserably.

There is something really nice about Silver doing this to get Zion in and it failing miserably. It's not flawed just because other teams didn't lose enough games. That could be said about the end of the season in ANY sport at any time. They came within a bucket of making the play-in game. Which is why they played those games.

Ultimately the 8th seed was a battle to see who gets stomped by the Lakers Blazers Guards lit up the Lakers at Staples and that wasbefore Nurkic came back healthy in the bubble. I don't think either team will be able to stop the other sides star players lighting up against them it will basically come down for the Blazers if Melo and or Trent can also get hot,and for the Lakers if they can get a 3rd scorer reliably for most of the series.

Morant says he's been playing with a fractured thumb. And he still outscored Dame. That dude us gonna be so damn good if he doesn't get wrecked in the lane. I had the same concern about Wade tho and he had a pretty good run.

Morant is a little too reckless He needs to learn to land properly or he is going to be dealing with injuries off and on like Wade did early in his career

My body is ready for these playoffs. Got all my meetings scheduled for mornings so I can listen to the early games while I do paperwork in the office. Then go home to watch some glorious playoff action basketball. This looks like it could be one of the more entertaining First Rounds the NBA has had for a long time... which means we'll probably get like 4 sweeps and a couple 5 game series Things I want to see this round: The hungry Thunder beat the "I just want mine" Rockets. I want to see Portland make the Lakers shit their pants.Raptors sweep.
