That Celtics playoff run a few years back ruined IT. He was never the same after that.

If Philly loses Butler, sounds like they’ll use the extra cash to sign Horford. That would be a great vet pickup for them, and help keep them in the top half of the east (especially if they keep Harris too).

Looks like 4/88 for Harrison Barnes to stay in Sac.
Wish it was a little less. But glad he’s sticking around.

I wouldn’t have done more than $15m/year for Barnes, but it is what it is. The Kings don’t have the appeal of other teams, so sometimes overpays are necessary. They can still sign Horford too.
Probably would’ve paid Oubre that money, but Phoenix is likely going to give him even more.

I really like Oubre’s game, but the Kings really couldn’t risk offering him a contract, PHX matching, then watch Barnes leave with hurt feelings.

I’m saying he hasn’t really had a chance the past couple of years. Maybe it’s ego, maybe he’s lost a couple steps and just can’t compete and he’ll be in Big3 next season He hasn’t had a chance? He was the automatic number 2 option on the Cavs when he came back. When he got traded to the Lakers he was their sixth man for a team with nothing to play for. Last season he went to Denver and said he wasn’t playing until he was healthy which they said okay and when he came back he was bumped out the rotation not long after. He played 12 games, shot 34% FG, 28% from 3 and in 15 mins a night he averaged 8 points with 8 shots. He’s basically shooting as soon as he gets on the court and he can’t do that He’s going have to sit on someone bench and wait his turn to prove he can still play. He’s already talking about being the “steal of free agency”. What did he have 25 games between those two teams? He’s obviously not elite, no plug and play, had a lot to adjust to and shot like crap. He’s a poor shooter, but I have to believe he somehow has a place in this league

He’s a poor shooter, but I have to believe he somehow has a place in this league 15 games wit the Cavs: 27 mins, 36% shooting, 13 attempts a game, 14.7 points 17 games with the Lakers: 27 mins, 38% shooting, 14 attempts a game, 15.6 points He has to change and make his place in the league. Come in on a team, remain humble and work hard because he's not at a point anymore where he is guaranteed a rotation spot on a good team. He's only 30 so in theory he still has time but the league waits for no one and this will be a crucial year for him

Warriors will offer Klay the full 5 year max so that takes him out the running
Rockets seem to have a match for Capela but will only make a deal if they can get a deal with Butler

Not a Boston fan but I respect the hustle.

Well in a weird sense it makes sense for Boston if they want to do the move They would weaken Philly by having them lose Jimmy BUT I don't see them as the suitor per se. Rockets want a 1st round pick for Capela and I doubt they are going to give up the Memphis pick meaning they would be giving up their own pick which I doubt is enough but you never know If the trade is mapped out which would have to be a 3 team trade it would be Rockets: Jimmy Butler 76ers: 1st round pick Boston and most likely Houston first round pick Eric Gordon Celtics: Clint Capela

So... Who's going to come out of the Lakers' bench when they waste most of their cap space on possibly 3 guys?
