Golden State basically traded Durant for Wiggins. The Western Conference is loving it. Meanwhile, Russell and Towns are about to have a whole lot of fun in Minnesota, and maybe turn that franchise around to being a playoff team. The barely protected 1st is the meat of that deal moreso than Wiggins. That's a weird way to frame it, but yes, GS came out of the D'Lo deal a lot worse than everyone expected. But if Minny gets a top 3 pick, they're golden now.

That's actually a pretty cheap deal for Minny. What the hell does GS do with Wiggins? Flip him later or potentially pair him with the future pick for something else The bigger thing is they now are in position to have two top 4 picks in the draft which could change their fortune greatly. Could pair the 4 pick and Wiggins for someone else or just trade Wiggins in a cap dumping move and draft two players Moving Wiggins is obviously not as easy as Russell but it won't be as difficult either I believe

I get that they're gonna flip him, but it seems like they accepted a deal that was worse than they anticipated when they acquired Russell, but also took back an asset that is a bigger chore to move as well. They got bent over. But the pick could be real good.

Wiggins was the throw in but as said I don't think he will be that difficult to move. He's not Blake Griffin territory as Wiggins has done better this year and upped his value a little For example, with all the other big contracts out there, GS can move him in the offseason for semi decent pieces. Trade a future pick and Wiggins to try to get Kevin Love. Otto Porter has a bloated contract on the Bulls and could be used. The most difficult thing about it is you don't want to walk into 2020-2021 season with 4 crazy contracts (Steph, Klay, Wiggins, Draymond) but I think at worst if they have to keep Wiggins, he's going to be coming off the bench as the sixth man which is probably best for him cause he damn sure doesn't starting with Klay and Steph

Everything else is academic

Man, lottery night is gonna be a huge deal in GS. A dangerous and back healthy GS team with potentially two young great players Their best case scenario is they end up with the 1 and 4 pick meaning they get James Wiseman and probably a choice between Ball/Anthony

Kyle Kuzma now off the table after they saw Knicks willing to take literal paper clips and gum for Marcus Morris.
And to that I say good don't get f***ing fleeced for a potential rental...lets see what is left in the buyout because we practically built this team from scraps so f*** it we do it again.

Wiggins is the hang-up. He's not immovable, but it is an inconvenience that I would have charged Minny for that GS just accepted on top. They traded for more work. But again, the lottery balls could push this way in their favor.

Knicks have said they wanted a 1st round lottery pick from any team wanting Morris or they would keep him It is why he has never been traded as Clippers been trying to give up Harkless and a pick for months

It depends on the pick how the deal will really shape out If they end up with the highest possible pick, which is the number 4 they will be absolutely happy. In fact as long as they keep the pick I think they will be happy in general if it is 4-10. They no doubt should have charged more but I think once they saw it was a limited protected pick they said f*** it and will worry about Wiggins in the offseason They are playing fast and loose but thus far in the whole outlook of things, 2 top 10 picks isn't bad for a team that just went to 5 straight finals

Kuzma, Green and a pick which I don't think is unfair and isn't a fleece when Kuzma is the literal X factor of this team. He can go 12-12 or 0-12 but Lakers with Morris is a good source of energy and toughness Green was only being included for salary reasons because Rondo doesn't make enough, KCP has a no trade clause and Lakers aren't moving any of their Centers Clippers still beating them in 7

They should have been proactive but they sold him for pennies on the dollar. I'm sure Boston would had liked to been on that if they knew it was that cheap But yea been a lot of movement today and yesterday which usually isn't the case. Even the worst teams like ATL and Cavs made moves to benefit their future
