I can't be angry at Avery he did it for his child.
Lebron is gonna keep his sneakers firmly to the side of JRs head to keep him in line though lol so I aint worried.

Yeah I'm sure having sports this year is a great idea I think the difference between NBA/MLB/NFL and WWE is that the latter did not take any precautions at all and put their talent in a position to infect each other. The sports leagues are going to have A LOT of positive tests, but their viewpoint is to test them before the season begins so they can be properly isolated, and then put preventive measures so that infections during the season are as little as possible. I think the biggest thing about the NBA is that if they don’t finish the season now due to the virus, then they can’t possibly start next season until there’s a vaccine because they’ll just run into the same hurdles in December. Baseball has a bit of time since 2021 won’t start until March/April, and maybe by then there will at least be stronger preventative measures if not a vaccine, but the NBA is in a real tricky spot. Wouldn’t surprise me if sports shut down again, but I think it’s worth seeing if it’s doable. Health is more important than anything though so if it feels like players and coaches aren’t safe, then the plug will have to get pulled. |

Vince Carter said this was his last season and despite it being short he's sticking with it He said he's officially retired. One of the greatest to ever do it. Crazy to think that there is a section of fans who never knew him as the most prolific dunker in NBA history Def going to the HOF one day. Maybe not 1st ballad (not like that means much) but he will get in Carter had the raw talent to be better than Kobe. He just didn’t have the desire and passion that Kobe had. Vince had an unguardable first step, a 3 point shot, and was unselfish. He should have been one of the best ever. It’s crazy that someone can have a HOF caliber resume and you can still think of him as underachieving but that’s kinda how I view Vince. I guess now he’ll be known to the younger demo as the guy Roddy Ricch mentioned in a song but whatever. |

Maybe not 1st ballad (not like that means much) but he will get in He is 19th all time in points and was maybe the biggest basketball star of the early 00's besides Kobe or AI. There is no way he isn't going to be a 1st ballot inductee. You can make the case maybe he shouldn't be because he has 0 1st team all nba's and was never the best player on a conference finalist but his longetivity and popularity make it seem almost certain he will be inducted right away |

One of my "instant Hall of Fame" qualifiers has always been: If it's during their "prime" and you say a guy's first name only and everybody knows who you are talking about, you are Hall of Fame worthy on the first ballot.
If for over 10 freakin' years if the topic of conversation was basketball, you could say "Did you guys see what Vince did?" Everybody in the room knew who you were talking out.

He should have been one of the best ever. It’s crazy that someone can have a HOF caliber resume and you can still think of him as underachieving but that’s kinda how I view Vince. He was shooting +40% from 3’s by his 2nd year in the league and that was before everyone shooting 3’s was cool. Best dunker ever. Quickest first step ever (if not then he’s in the conversation). Could create off the dribble from anywhere. Played defense when he was motivated. He is someone who should have been in the same sentence as Kobe, while I’m not sure he’d be in the top 5 players people talk about from the 2000’s. His time as a star after 2001 was largely forgettable, as those NJ teams never did anything noteworthy despite how great he was, and by the time he made the ECF with the Magic he wasn’t that same guy. I’m not saying I disagree with you, he has a HOF resume which might be under appreciated a bit because a lot of fans will remember him as a journeyman for the last decade but as great as he was, if he had a mindset like Kobe or AI, I think he’d be on a different level. Hmmm, i'd have to defer to you on how much he coasted in his prime. I never thought of him as Roy Jones type of lazy where he got over on his god given talent and never put the work in but I can def buy into not having the most legendary work ethic which is what separate Kobe from VC and AI VC last great year was maybe 06-07. Him and Kidd worked really well as a tandem but they needed a 3rd player and RJ couldn't fill that void as a reliable scorer behind VC. Def by the time he got to the Magic, he was a diff guy. 33 and out his prime. The biggest knock against VC is as talented as he was, he was never really in title contention when he was the star. He didn't make his teammates better. Would be an interesting debate as how him and T-Mac would had fared if Toronto had kept him and he blossomed into the star he did |
