Who is going to be the first player to leave the bubble to get laid, and come back to quarantine with no regrets? There was already some rumors from an IG model that an unnamed all star tried to get her into the "bubble" Theres a zero percent chance guys arent going to be getting some in the bubble.

"Ok guys, all we need is for like 200 athletes to act responsible for about 2 months and we can make a season work" is some batshit crazy dream. Why not make it realistic and try to play on Mars with Bigfoot as special guest referee.
We can't go two months without guys getting arrested and we are going to pretend we can have the same group handle such tasks like "You can only eat at a half dozen restaurants" or " Mr Harden, you can't go to the strip club"

Welp, Harden has a ready made excuse for when he once again gives an abysmal playoff performance. Guy is never winning a ring.

So, Michael Beasley signs with the Nets last week
Well, he tested positive for COVID-19 and his roster spot is up in the air

Marbury has a doc on Netflix. It's ok, probably means more if you're from NY. But it's VERY favorable towards him; making excuses for all the issues he had bouncing around because either he forced his way out or people got tired of dealing with him. One of his brothers said he should have stayed his ass in Minny and probably would have won a championship, which is entirely true. It's crazy in the era of super teams that a talented young player on his way up would want to LEAVE a team with one of the best players in the league and go TO a team whose best remaining player after the deal was Keith Van Horn.
The year after he left the Nets, they went to the Finals. The year after he left the Suns, they went to the Western Conference Finals. He even wore thin on Knicks where he blew through a fair amount of goodwill. He had the talent to play in the league for a few more years at least but just had a shit attitude. Worked out better for him anyway in China. He had moments, but ultimately is one of the least likable dudes that sports docs ever featured, up there with Lance or until they make one about Barry Bonds.
One of the funnier moments is when they paint it like LeBron saying he'd never wear $20 shoes was the moment that torpedoed his shoes. LOTS of people dogged that shoe when it came out. But his heart was in the right place.

I remember Starbury had one of the first public athlete breakdowns that I can remember. He started live-streaming his house before that was ever really a thing and heβd show up on camera crying and eating vasoline.

Considering the Wolves were a 50+ win team for the next 5 years after he left with a team that was Kevin Garnett and some scraps it's entirely possible he wins a ring with that team

But his heart was in the right place. Yea, Marbury was his own worst headache. Good for him that he rebounded in China but dude should been a capable spot starter/sixth man for more years then he was. He ran his goodwill so bad with the Knicks they basically paid him majority of his $20 mill salary to stay home. Not even show up to the arena, but stay home On a funny note, I was in H.S. when the Starburys were out and someone popped up in the gym with them. They proceeded to take his shoes and throw them all the way up to the gym roof. Them shits was cheap tho, not just in cost but way they were made. His heart was in the right place but as soon as Marbury started wearing Starburys he ended up with f***ed up ankles

Nike or Adidas can make relatively cheap shoes mostly because of the quantity they manufacture. Dude must have been wearing a new pair every game or so, and was probably still very uncomfortable from the lack of support. No surprise his ankles f***ed up. Especially given his game. Only dudes like AI and Wade would be worse off on bad shoes.

Marbury could have tripped and fallen into an NBA title if Garnett didnt get injured in 08-09. That Celtics team was every bit as good as the previous season.

In speaking on Beasley earlier, he will be replaced. They have signed Justin Anderson
Nets now have 8 players who will not participate in Orlando and have now signed 5 replacement players. Do they have their draft pick this year? Considering as such, they might as well BS these last 8 games and take that lottery pick

But his heart was in the right place. Bonds was selfish, arrogant, and hated the media, but he's nowhere near the same level as Lance Armstrong. Bonds was a prick, he was an asshole, he was upfront about that. Lance Armstrong was a lab accident away from becoming a supervillain.
