Huge win for the Celtics both figuratively and literally. Came out strong from the get go and took the momentum back.
Of course the way I'm wired I wasn't comfortable until the 4th Quarter.
Still they're back in the driver seat but this series is far from over. Toronto's the defending champions for a reason.

If the Celtics do not end this series in the next game then the Raptors will win the series.

Still they're back in the driver seat but this series is far from over. Toronto's the defending champions for a reason. They are and they aren't. I mean, the 2015 Heat were reigning ECF champs and nobody spent a thought on them. Granted, the Raptors are a much better team than the Heat were. Point being, they're different teams the next year. Kawhi and Green out, FVV and OG up. I still think this Toronto team was a little bit overrated in the regular season. Boston might be better than them, but the margin is completely negligible. Go .500 the next two games and you're in.

Denver is an intriguing team. They've always needed a piece like Porter. Jokic has always been a monster, Murray is a great scorer, they've always had solid depth, but they needed legitimate starters at forward. They still miss Barton a bit, but Millsap is what he is. Porter is a game-changer for them in floor spacing.
For the Clips, they just need to play better defense. They have three lockdown iso guys, but also have very good bench scorers in Lou and Trez. If they put it all together, this should be a 6 game series even with Denver being an improved team.

I hate these Clipper uniforms so much. They look like a crappy unlicensed knockoff you’d find in a hole-in the wall gimmick t-shirt shop.

This Boston team has a little bit of the same squad Toronto had last year
I think they can beat Miami (assuming they make it) because Boston has playmakers and can run people in iso as well. Milwaukee ran into a bad matchup and probably won't overcome it but Miami has their weaknesses that Mil and Pacers have not been able to exploit
Also, if people ain't giving Coach Spo his due yet, they been needed to. Imagine if they listened to LeBron and fired that man when he was with the Heat

I still don't understand how Toronto could come out and just dead-ass an entire half like that. Almost felt like some end-of-the-season-who-gives-a-shit-effort type of half.
I don't want to downplay Boston's role in that ass whuppin', they looked like a legit contender win the whole thing.
It's hard to believe that right now it's looking like HEAT/CELTICS in the ECF and it's not 2012.

I don't think they need a frontcourt player. I'd love to see them play smaller with Jokic/MPJ/Barton, but I would love to see them add a combo guard. Hail mary, but if I were them I'd call up Chicago who isn't winning shit anytime soon and offer them Bol Bol, a couple firsts, and Harris to match salary for LaVine. If Bol works out with Markkanen, the Bulls could play wide open basketball for the future.

I think Boston can contain Butler and not get trapped as hard as Milwaukee did but it would probably be a 7 game series. Besides that, just seems like Boston is ready to break through but if they get there it would be an interesting matchup Lavine to Denver is good. Same with Beal if they could get him too but he's most likely cost them Murray instead of Harris. A guard is the right way to go but it all depends on how they want to scoop the team. Ideally, you can play MPJ at the 4 with Barton at the 3 and Beal/Lavine at the 2. Denver is at the door, they just need that one last push.

Beal would be great, but trading Murray for him is kind of a small net gain. Ideally you could leverage Bol's ceiling and get some bites. Jrue would also be a great get for them. Add some scoring, defense, facilitating.

They need an energy Center Jrue would probably be the best fit out of Lavine, Beal and himself. Tho if MPJ can become that go to scorer in the 4th quarter, with Murray, Jrue and Jokic, they'd wear people out with all those options

Miami too comfortable
They had a whole gameplan to shut down Giannis but acting like they didn't have a backup plan to shut down the team that doesn't have Giannis on it

I think him and Jokic can work well together considering both can pass, shot, and space the floor very well. Clippers are just lazy. They are "playing down" to the competition They've been doing that all season too. They'd go on weird skids and struggle with bad teams, then play out of their minds against the Lakers or Bucks.

They've taken on the bad part of the Kawhi mindset Kawhi can turn his shit off and on. The team can't. Toronto became so good because they kept it on all the time and with Kawhi playing his ass off they were always competitive Clippers was a scrappy bunch last year. They need to keep that same mindset

Giannis has to be pissed. These guys played like bums alongside him, but then he goes out and the last two games they've been right there with Miami or beat them.
